The German champions have not lost in Europe since March 2024 and travel to the French capital full of momentum.
However, they face the last team to have beaten them, PSG’s 2-0 victory in the FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final in Atlanta last July.
Speaking ahead of the clash, PSG head coach Enrique praised Bayern’s consistency but backed his side to rise to the challenge. “If we talk about their run in the last 15 games, it is incredible,” he said.
“Winning three or four matches in a row is difficult, but 15 is extraordinary. They deserve a lot of credit.
“But tomorrow we play at the Parc des Princes, in front of our supporters and that atmosphere always pushes us. We are confident that we can raise our level to handle their pressure. I expect a similar game to the one we played in the summer.”
Both clubs sit at the top of the Champions League league phase table, with PSG narrowly ahead on goals scored. Bayern, managed by Vincent Kompany, have won the last four Champions League meetings between the teams without conceding, including their triumph in the 2020 final.
Midfielder Vitinha believes the match could show who are Europe’s best side. “I think we can find out the answer tomorrow,” he said. “It is better to do our talking on the pitch than here.”
Bayern’s hopes may rest on Harry Kane, who has scored 24 goals for club and country this season. Vitinha praised the England captain, adding: “Harry Kane is one of the best in the world. His numbers are incredible and he has started this season in outstanding form.”
Meanwhile, Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer said his side are relishing the challenge. “We’re not afraid, we enjoy playing against PSG,” said the 39-year-old.
“They have a lot of quality and are dangerous on the counter-attack. We must defend well and take advantage of our chances when they come.”
Tuesday’s clash promises to be another high-stakes battle between two European heavyweights, with both sides determined to make a statement in their push for continental glory.
