The striker is expected to sign a six-year contract and will undergo his medical on Monday.

Back in August, Liverpool had offered £110 million, but Newcastle United rejected it, insisting the Reds didn’t meet certain conditions.

Isak has always dreamed of wearing the Reds kit and was determined not to let anything stand in the way of fulfilling his childhood ambition.

The 25-year-old decided to express his frustration on social media, accusing the club’s management of breaking promises.

He wrote, “The reality is that promises were made, and the club has known my position for a long time. To now act as if these issues are only emerging is misleading.

“When promises are broken and trust is lost, the relationship can’t continue. That’s where things are for me right now, and why change is in the best interests of everyone, not just myself.”

Newcastle didn’t want to lose Isak, as he was part of the family. So, two club directors, Jamie Reuben and Jacobo Solis, visited Isak at home to try and open contract talks, but the striker did not give them a listening ear.

The only way Newcastle would let him leave is if they secured a replacement, so they have been on the hunt for a striker. Two potential candidates have been rumored, Nick Woltemade, who could be signed from Stuttgart for £69 million, and Callum Wilson.

Since joining the Magpies in 2022, Isak has made 86 appearances, scored 54 goals and providing 9 assists. The transfer window closes today, September 1, at 11 pm UK time, and hopefully, the contract will be finalized and uploaded to the system before then.
