The Red Devils have shown serious interest in Bryan Mbeumo, who delivered an outstanding performance in the 2024-2025 season.

The young star scored 20 goals and provided seven assists in 38 Premier League appearances, establishing himself as one of the league’s most promising talents.

Brentford appear reluctant to part ways with Mbeumo easily, fully aware of his value to the team. They have already rejected two significant bids from Manchester United.

The first offer was £45 million plus £10 million in add-ons, while the second bid reached up to £62.5 million. Despite these tempting figures, Brentford remain firm, reportedly valuing Mbeumo at £65 million.

Speaking to the media, Giles added that they still hope to keep Mbeumo, as he believes the player’s chapter with Brentford is far from over.

“He had an unbelievable season, and we expected interest in him. From what I understand, he is also, if needs be, happy to stay at Brentford next year as well.

“We’ve spoken to Bryan and his representatives. It’s not a given that he’s going to depart this summer.

“If we get the right offer, there is the potential for a deal to be done, but there is only so much we can say now on that.”

The 25-year-old’s heart reportedly lies with Manchester United, with rumors suggesting that he has informed Brentford’s management of his desire to jump ship and join the legendary club.

Playing for Manchester United has been a lifelong dream for Mbeumo, and he sees this move as a major opportunity that could open many doors for his career.

Mbeumo joined Brentford in 2019 from Troyes and has been a key figure in the club’s rise. He played an important role in Brentford’s promotion from the Championship to the Premier League in 2021 and has continued to grow and develop as a player for more than five years.
