The talented 27-year-old joined Arsenal back in 2020, proving himself on the field and earning that spot as Mikel Arteta’s favourite and a key asset to the club, which led to management continuing their partnership until 2029.

On his sheet, the 27-year-old has scored 20 goals in 210 appearances for Arsenal. He has built a very strong duo with William Saliba, becoming a force to be reckoned with through their exceptional partnership in defense.

In a statement released, the Brazilian-born footballer stated he renewed his contract with the fighting spirit to win some trophies.

“Arsenal is an amazing club and I’m so proud to sign a new contract. I love this club, I love the supporters, my teammates, I love this stadium. I’m so proud and thank you for all the support. Now it’s time to win some trophies. We will continue together for the future.”

Magalhaes has been out of action for the past two months after undergoing surgery due to a hamstring injury. As the injury has healed, the mighty defender will be back in the starting lineup in the new season.

Arsenal is still in talks with William Saliba and Bukayo Saka’s agents as they are looking to tie down these two assets to the club for a few more years.

Saliba moved to Arsenal in 2019 but tasted the Premier League action when he made his debut in 2022 against Crystal Palace, where the Gunners won by 2-0.

With Bukayo Saka, it’s a whole different story as the Arsenal blood runs through his DNA, joining the academy at the age of 7. Working his way up and showcasing his exceptional talent, he made his debut for the first time in the UEFA Europa League match against Vorskla Poltava.
