Right now, the 27-year-old’s career is uncertain as he could leave Manchester United permanently if his loan deal is successful with Aston Villa.

After a series of back-and-forth clashes with Ruben Amorim, Marcus Rashford decided it was best to part ways with the Red Devils. Amorim was furious over certain off-field habits Rashford reportedly refused to change, which ultimately led to his exclusion from the squad.

The United boss didn’t hold back, openly criticising Rashford’s attitude and effort during training sessions. He even went as far as saying he’d rather field 63-year-old goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital than play someone who wasn’t showing the hunger to compete. According to Amorim, Rashford wasn’t displaying the mindset of a player “giving his maximum every day.”

Despite a turbulent season, Marcus Rashford managed to score 6 goals in 25 Premier League appearances. Since joining the Villans in January, he has shown flashes of the quality that once made him one of England’s brightest talents.

While still finding his rhythm, Rashford’s work rate, sharp movement, and renewed focus have started to make an impact, suggesting that the change of scenery might just be what he needed to reignite his career.

Barcelona’s sporting director Deco and manager Hans Flick have both publicly expressed their admiration for Marcus Rashford, who Manchester United appears willing to sell.

Rashford himself recently hinted at a move to the Catalan giants, saying, “Yes, for sure. Everyone wants to play with the best. Hopefully, we’ll see.”

However, Barcelona’s ongoing financial challenges could make it difficult for the club to afford the striker.
