Isak has attracted attention from elite clubs including Liverpool, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain.

Currently tied to Newcastle until 2028, Isak earns 140,000 pounds per week, a salary lower than many of Europe’s top forwards.

Despite a strong financial boost, with Newcastle revealing a 28% increase in turnover to 320 million pounds, the club faces financial restrictions under the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

This limits their ability to match the astronomical wages Isak might command from wealthier clubs.

Isak’s contract has yet to be discussed in terms of improvement, though speculation about his future is intensifying with the summer transfer window fast approaching.

Newcastle’s CEO, Darren Eales, found himself in a difficult position when asked about offering the striker a new deal reflecting his rising status.

“We’re going to be clear, he has multi years left [on his deal],” Eales told The Times.

“So all of these things, we will have the discussions in terms of a new deal, just like we did, whether it’s Joelinton, Bruno or Anthony Gordon. That’s something that we will approach in the summer.”
