Injuries have cast a shadow over both teams. Everton will be without Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Youssef Chermiti, Armando Broja, and winger Dwight McNeil for the match.

Additionally, captain Seamus Coleman remains unavailable, while Nathan Patterson is a doubt. Orel Mangala’s knee injury has ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

However, there is some positive news for Everton with left-back Vitalii Mykolenko returning to training after missing the FA Cup loss to Bournemouth.

Liverpool, too, faces its share of injury concerns, with Joe Gomez sidelined due to a recurring hamstring issue.

On a brighter note, Trent Alexander-Arnold has returned to training following a thigh injury, and Curtis Jones is fit to play.

This delayed fixture, initially postponed due to Storm Darragh in December, holds immense significance for both clubs.

Everton, now nine points clear of the relegation zone, will aim to extend their positive run under David Moyes, who has led the Blues to three wins from his first four Premier League matches in charge.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will look to widen their six-point advantage over Arsenal at the top of the table, with their game in hand on the Gunners still pending due to postponements.
