Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool

Chelsea claimed a late 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday to hand the Reds their third consecutive loss in all competitions.

The Blues took the lead through a fine strike from Moses Caicedo from outside the box after some indecisive defending by the Reds in the 14th minute.

Alejandro Garnacho hit the upright for Enzo Maresca’s team in the 38th minute before Liverpool’s Aleksander Isak missed a close rage header shortly before half time as Chelsea maintained the lead.

Liverpool drew level in the 63rd minute after Cody Gakpo latched onto a delicate Isak assist to slot home from close range.

The home side forced Giorgi Marmadashvili into making numerous saves as they pressed for the winner in the final ten minutes before Marc Cucurella provided a cross for Willian Estevao to slide onto finish to claim the win five minutes into additional time.

The results see Chelsea move to sixth whilst Liverpool slip into second spot.

Arsenal 2-0 West Ham United

The Gunners scored a goal in both halves to claim a comfortable 2-0 win against West Ham at the Emirates Stadium to go top of the Premier League table.

Former Hammers star Declan Rice opened the scoring from close range in the 38th minute after following up to an Eberechi Eze shot that had been well saved initially.

Riccardo Calafiori came close to doubling the lead just before half-time, but his strike hit the upright.

Arsenal was handed a penalty in the 67th minute after Diouf had clumsily fouled Jurrien Timber in the box, with Bukayo Saka converting the penalty.

The home side closed out the second half without much of a threat from a timid looking West Ham.

Manchester United 2-0 Sunderland

Manchester United ended a three-match losing streak with a 2-0 win over Sunderland at Old Trafford on Saturday courtesy of two first half goals.

The hosts opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a low strike into the bottom corner following good work on the right from Bryan Mbeumo.

Bruno Fernandes came close when his free kick was tipped onto the post by Robin Roefs in the 25th minute before the Hammers defence allowed Benjamin Sesko to tap in a Matthijs De Ligt flick on five minutes later.

The visitors failed to trouble debutant goalkeeper Senne Lammens in the second half as United claimed their first clean sheet of the 2025/26 season.

Leeds United 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to seven games following the victory at Elland Road on Saturday.

Spurs took the lead in the 23rd minute through a deflected finish from Matthys Tel from a tough angle after Leeds had missed numerous opportunities in the opening stanza.

Mohamed Kudus missed a good chance to double Tottenham’s lead three minutes later before Noah Okafor tapped in a rebound from close range after a good strike from Brenden Aaronsen.

Leeds continued their attacking approach in the second half but failed to test Spurs goal before Kudus doubled the lead for the North London side thanks to another deflected strike.

Spurs hung on to hand Thomas Frank his fourth victory for the club in the Premier League.
