Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola believes they claimed a very important three points against nine-man Brentford in their Premier League clash on Saturday.
The Reds came back from behind after to score twice through Victor Munoz and in-form striker Alexander Isak in the second half after having fallen behind shortly before half time at the Brentford Community Stadium.
Iraola emphasized the value of the result after the match while also sharing his thoughts on his sides overall performance against the Bees.
“Yes, definitely we got a good battle today,” said the Spanish head coach after the match.
“I think they are a very important three points for us because I think it’s very expensive to win here. I think Brentford are a very good team, especially at home, and to finish with three points here is very valuable.
“I think we played really well the minutes up until we scored the 2-1 against 10 players. I think that we were being patient and we were finding good positions and we were in control of the game really well.
“Probably more disappointed after we scored because you scored the 2-1 and then you feel like you have something to lose.”
The result sees Liverpool bounce back from the 3-0 loss to Manchester City in their last league match while moving them above sixth placed Brentford into sixth spot.
