BRIGHTON
Race 3 No6 REECE’S CALL (Each Way)
Trainer: Rod Millman – Jockey: Jack Doughty
REECE’S CALL upped his game when second on soft ground at Ffos Las. Having proved himself with some cut he could represent a value play at Brighton’s final meeting of the 2026 season.
Race 4 No1 SHIFRA (Nap)
Trainer: Pat Phelan – Jockey: Paddy Bradley
With two wins from her last three starts SHIFRA brings a form edge to the table. The daughter of Postponed is fully in the zone on the grass, and should prove hard to beat.
Race 6 No13 SOUTH KENSINGTON
Trainer: Adam Kirby – Jockey: Charles Bishop
SOUTH KENSINGTON has clearly benefitted from a breathing operation, and the mare travelled kindly before putting her race to bed here earlier in the month. She just needs to show she can handle these easier underfoot conditions.
PERTH
Race 6 No2 ORDEROFTHEDAY (Nap)
Trainer: Olly Murphy – Jockey: Sean Bowen
ORDEROFTHEDAY put in a staying performance to score on his first run over fences at Uttoxeter in May. He’s competing from 2lb higher, and though needing further than this two and a half miles in an ideal situation, he should get away with it as long as they go a good lick.
Race 7 No6 FOLLOW CHARLIE (Each Way)
Trainer: Mike Smith – Jockey: Ryan Mania
While it was disappointing how quickly FOLLOW CHARLIE fell away after travelling well in front over course and distance last time, this three times course winner needs respecting on a first run over fences in a race he could dominate.
FONTWELL PARK
Race 3 No5 FEROCIMO (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies
Recent scorer NIGHTFLYER side stepped a useful Grange Farm rival when a late scratch at Market Rasen last week. Interestingly he runs into another in the form on unbeaten pointer FEROCIMO, who is well thought of and more than capable of downing the paper favourite.
Race 7 No5 BALLYMOREEN
Trainer: Emma Lavelle – Jockey: Harry Cobden
BALLYMOREEN has improved from race to race on three starts since her move to Lavelle and has scope for further progression over hurdles, and especially now pitched into a handicap with Cobden in the saddle. The combination can prove too strong for PAINTED WOLF.
SOUTHWELL
Race 1 No6 OXFORD CIRCUS
Trainer: James Owen – Jockey: Christian Howarth
There was plenty of money about for OXFORD CIRCUS before his staying on effort to claim a minor cheque at Brighton. As it was just a second start for his current handler he could find the extra required to take out this lowly affair.
Race 3 No5 GROVE STREET (Nap)
Trainer: Brian Meehan – Jockey: David Egan
GROVE STREET brings the best form to the table making him the best bet on this card. His near misses at Sandown and Chepstow were followed by a solid enough run in the Haynes, Hanson and Clark at Newbury meaning that he takes a notable class drop here.
Race 7 No6 NEW IMAGE
Trainer: Michael Herrington – Jockey: Darragh Keenan
NEW IMAGE has massively turned a corner since joining Herrington at the end of August, showing his liking for this course and a switch to sand by notching back-to-back successes over 1200 metres from only three starts. The Frankel gelding has taken a hike in the weights but can handle the move into Class4 and complete a hat-trick.
