BRIGHTON

Race 1 No9 TWILIGHT GUEST (Each Way)
Trainer: George Margarson – Jockey: C Lyons

TWILIGHT GUEST has work to do with JENSON BENSON who beat him two lengths when the pair finished first and fourth over course and distance last time. The selection is 3lb better off and three times the price of his rivals in, making him an appealing each way entity.

Race 7 No9 ROMAN SPRING (Nap)
Trainer: Rachel Cook – Jockey: Kieren O’Neill

ROMAN SPRING is 5lb higher than for his latest course and distance success but the veteran receives weight all round for this step up in grade and dangerous to oppose in his hat-trick bid.

LEICESTER

Race 2 No1 WOODVALE (Nap)
Trainer: James Tate – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

Under a 4lb penalty for his eye taking Beverley success, WOODVALE can remain unbeaten. He did well to overcome a slow start on that occasion and will have learned plenty from it.

Race 4 No2 ENGEDI (Each Way)
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Danny Tudhope

The value option in this restricted fillies’ maiden is ENGEDI who though beaten ten lengths into third on her Beverley introduction is going to be more streetwise over this more suitable (longer) trip. She can give paper favourite OZONE FRIENDLY plenty to think about.

Race 6 No5 PERCY’S DAYDREAM
Trainer: David O’Meara – Jockey: Danny Tudhope

PERCY’S DAYDREAM appeals as another plum mount for Tudhope who is riding as well as ever. The four times winning daughter of Derby winner Sir Percy put in another solid effort when third at Redcar last time but should be happier moved back up in trip today.

HUNTINGDON

Race 1 No4 THE WISE TRAVELLER
Trainer: Sarah Humphries – Jockey: Jamie Gambian

THE WISE TRAVELLER finished like a fresh horse when scoring here on his latest outing back in May. A winner over hurdles fences and in a point is usually at his best when fresh, suggesting he will be well armed for this follow-up attempt at his favourite track.

Race 2 No3 BROADWAY HONEY (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

This should prove a third triumph for BROADWAY HONEY from her last four starts. The mare escapes a penalty for her wide margin delivery at Fontwell at the weekend and appears to have taken little out of herself. This easy track should play to her strengths.

Race 5 No5 DATSALRIGHTCHARLIE
Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

DATSALRIGHTCHARLIE was supported to deliver on his chase debut here back in March but might have found the trip further than ideal. He has his quirks but after a summer at grass he’s one that can do well for his trainer through the remainder of the autumn.

SOUTHWELL

Race 3 No5 ENCORE (Nap)
Trainer: William Haggas – Jockey: Tom Marquand

Although she has a tricky outer gate to contend with, ENCORE is the one that stands out as she enters the handicap arena. The Cheveley Park Stud-owned filly opened her account over 1200 metres at Kempton following heavy support, and this step up in trip is what she wants on just a fourth career start.

Race 4 No11 SPEYSIDE
Trainer: Hugo Palmer- Jockey: Jason Hart

SPEYSIDE is another who could have done with a kinder draw, but after being scratched from a winning opportunity last month this should be within his compass. The Blue Point colt put in a promising first effort when in the money at Goodwood but found York’s Convivial Stakes a step too far next time. He’s in calmer waters today in what looks a good winning opportunity.

Race 7 No1 NOCHEBUENA
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Hector Crouch

It could be a smart move to put a line through the disappointing run of NOCHEBUENA at Doncaster where the Study Of Man filly back-pedalled when the tap was turned on to finish in the ruck. The top weight drops two rungs down the class ladder today, and can raise her game. She has very good form going back, and is a smart staying prospect for owner Kirsten Rausing.
