CATTERICK BRIDGE
Race 2 No7 RUPERT THE BRAVE (Nap)
Trainer: Oliver Cole – Jockey: Connor Beasley
A tight turning 1400 metres should be within the compass of RUPERT THE BRAVE who interestingly sticks to maiden company when he could have gone down the nursery route. The son of Phoenix Of Spain brings solid credentials to the party after earning on his last two of three starts out of Whatcombe and is fancied to open his account.
Race 3 No9 FAIRYDALE (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan
FAIRYDALE doesn’t do anything in a hurry but Easterby is winning with horses from all parts of the lower handicap arena and this daughter of Waldgeist should be seen to better effective in easy conditions through the closing weeks of the season.
Race 7 No6 WARDLAW
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Luke Morris
There’s an admirable consistency about WARDLAW who apart from his first run of the season has earned in the other six, including a sole success at Beverley. This versatile individual is more than capable of producing a similar effort on this totally different (easier) track.
MUSSELBURGH
Race 2 No3 WALSINGHAM
Trainer: David O’Meara – Jockey: Kevin Stott
WALSINGHAM couldn’t cope with a rampant Venetian Lion at Pontefract but the six-year-old commands serious attention on this first run in a seller, in which he will prevail if running to a similar level.
Race 5 No11 HANNEY GIRL (Nap)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Duran Fentiman
A pronounced walk in the market pronounced a worrying time for supporters of HANNEY GIRL on her return to the all-weather at Southwell. She nevertheless produced a solid earning run, and has to be taken seriously back on a course where she’s never failed to trouble the judge, and from a plum draw.
KEMPTON PARK
Race 7 No2 KIND OF BLUE (Nap)
Trainer: James Fanshawe – Jockey: James Doyle
In the best race of the day KIND OF BLUE can prevail. The Blue Point entire faces strong competition from WISE APPROACH and MONTASSIB but this is a big drop in class for the selection, who finished second in the Group 2 Duke Of York in May and has subsequently kept company with the best of them in successive Group 1s. He should relish this ease in grade for an overdue success.
Race 8 No2 FOREVER PENYWORN (Each Way)
Trainer: Warren Greatrex – Jockey: Sean Levey
In an open heat FOREVER PENYWORN could be the way to go. It’s a step up for the three times winner, but interestingly he’s been parsimoniously campaigned with just two outings in 2026, and could have more to offer at a price.
