CHEPSTOW
Race 2 No5 CRYSTAL KRAKEN (Each Way)
Trainer: Dylan Cunha – Jockey: Pat Dobbs
CRYSTAL KRAKEN did not go unbacked when finding one to beat her at Thirsk which was a career best from the filly. In an open race she should consolidate, and doesn’t need to find much to win it.
Race 5 No7 REDHOT WHISPER
Trainer: Adrian Wintle – Jockey: Finley Marsh
The consistent REDHOT WHISPER went close on his latest outing over course and distance with the principals pulling clear. It was a seasonal best effort from the selection who would be a deserving winner of this bottom grade handicap.
Race 6 No4 CRIMSON ROAD (Nap)
Trainer: John Flint – Jockey: William Carson
CRIMSON ROAD will hopefully be a bet worth waiting for in the nightcap. He’s improved from race to race in four outings since joining his trainer, won with something to spare at this course last time, and if serving up a similar effort should make it back-to-back successes.
LEICESTER
Race 2 No5 BETTER NATURE (Nap)
Trainer: Jonny Portman- Jockey: Rob Hornby
BETTER NATURE was no match for Telegraphic at Brighton but his conqueror franked the form when running a smart rival close under a penalty. He appeals as better value than GREEK SYMPHONY, who did us a good turn when scoring at Lingfield but is higher in the weights.
Race 5 No1 RAY MON DOUGH
Trainer: Oliver Cole – Jockey: Hector Crouch
RAY MON DOUGH was beaten out of the money but in a far better race than this at Chester last time. He had previously not been disgraced when chasing home the smart Behike at Lingfield, which was his first run on grass. He can seize the opportunity presented by today’s class drop.
