AYR

Race 6 No2 POL ROGER (Each Way)

Trainer: Michael Dods – Jockey: Connor Beasley

Veteran POL ROGER looked like a horse coming out of the wilderness when placed here last time and has returned to his previous winning mark. A dual past winner here, he’s ready to put his best foot forward.

Race 7 No4 CASCADE HALL (Nap)

Trainer: Jim Goldie – Jockey: Jake Dickson

CASCADE HALL is part of a twin attack on this apprentices’ handicap by local handler Goldie, and in an exacta draw can outpoint stablemate ANNANDALE, who like the selection goes well here.

NEWTON ABBOT

Race 3 No8 COUP DE GOLD

Trainer: Mrs C Williams – Jockey: Miss Eleanor Williams

There’s not much of COUP DE GOLD but the gelding has done well for his stable and showed his liking for this tight circuit with a win here last time. He’s stepping up in trip, but gels his amateur pilot, and can follow up.

Race 6 No3 PARK HALL (Nap)

Trainer: Dan Skelton – Jockey: Harry Skelton

The Skeltons hold the key to the lucky last with former Irish pointer winner PARK HALL, who impressed on Rules debut and can remain unbeaten.

LINGFIELD PARK

Race 1 No4 GREEK SYMPHONY (Nap)

Trainer: Oliver Cole – Jockey: Mason Paetel

With podium finishes on both career starts GREEN SYMPHONY sets the standard for her rivals to aim at. The daughter of Sergei Prokofiev went down in a close finish behind the useful Yahaira at Newbury, a repeat of which should see her open her account.

Race 5 No5 HAVANA HALO (Each Way)

Trainer: Dominic Ffrench Davis – Jockey: John Egan

HAVANA HALO is a far from obvious choice for this fillies’ handicap, and her disappointing comeback run at Newbury needs to be greatly improved on. That said, she has ability and probably needed it, making her interesting at her forecast odds. I shall keep investment to a minimum and have a saving bet of SYDNEY ROCK, who also wasn’t fully tuned when out of the money on her own reappearance.

Race 6 No1 NUTCRACKER

Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

NUTCRACKER did us a good turn when scoring in a classified at Wolverhampton last week and remains in that company under a penalty. He’s taken those exertions in his stride, and won’t mind dropping back to a mile with the same top rider doing the steering.

WINDSOR

Race 4 No4 HE’S READYTORUMBLE

Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Tom Marquand

HE’S READYTORUMBLE takes the eye on his second start, having been scratched from a better race at Newbury last week. The close relative of the smart Getreadytorumble was easy to back and never threatened on his Salisbury introduction, but like many horses from this stable should come on a fair way with the benefit of the experience.

Race 5 No2 PAPA COCKTAIL (Each Way)

Trainer: Michael Herrington – Jockey: Jack Mitchell

PAPA COCKTAIL gave another good account when chasing home Zubara at Doncaster and finds himself with another winning opportunity. There’s likely to be plenty of pace in this 1200 metres contest which should set the race up for his customary late kick.
