BATH

Race 1 No4 SEED YA LATER (Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Edward Greatrex

Two recent winners can dominate in an interesting restricted novice, with SEED YA LATER getting the vote. The Bungle Inthejungle filly puts a no nonsense display to open her account at Musselburgh. She looked good value for her margin of victory, and a penalty probably won’t stop her.

Race 3 No1 IN THE CITY
Trainer: Warren Greatrex – Jockey: Edward Greatrex

IN THE CITY troubled the judge on all four starts last year and is fancied to open his account in spite of this being a first outing in ten months for the Showcasing gelding. The four-year-old possibly has more scope to improve than market rival NOBLE VOW.

Race 5 No5 PARTY ISLAND
Trainer: Denis Coakley – Jockey: George Bass

PARTY ISLAND returned to the grass to gain a clear cut success over course and distance last month, one that has greatly boosted the chestnut’s confidence. He’s up against a couple of similar types that also scored recently, but his liking for this track should tilt the balance of the scales in his favour.

BEVERLEY

Race 1 No3 FOOD FOR THOUGHT (Nap)
Trainer: Ralph Beckett- Jockey: Hector Crouch

FOOD FOR THOUGHT can make the long journey from Hampshire pay off by taking this maiden fillies’ race in the colours of the King. Her narrow defeat on a second and final outing of 2025 has been boosted at Listed level, and if converted puts her in with a great chance of opening her account, with LOVERS LEAP the one likely to fill the other side of the exacta.

Race 4 No4 TANJEN (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

TANJEN will be a double figure price, but makes the same appeal as a shorter priced runner in this 1000 metres sprint. The Kodi Bear filly proved easy to back on her Goodwood return but proved competitive throughout, only weakening in the final half a furlong. That needed run is there to be built on, and has brought her forward.

HEREFORD

Race 4 No1 CAMPAIGN TRAIL (Nap)
Trainer: Kim Bailey – Jockey: Thomas Bellamy

CAMPAIGN TRAIL acts well on better ground and possibly made her bid for glory a tad early when reeled in late on her latest start at Southwell. The top weight has few miles on her racing clock, suggesting she’s the one in the five horse field most likely to find some progression.

Race 6 No4 MASTER ROQUE
Trainer: Alan King – Jockey: Thomas Bellamy

Although he was ultimately well beaten on his first Rules appearance at Newbury, MASTER ROQUE will have greatly benefited from the experience and now finds himself in calmer waters. His trainer has been amongst the winners, while this race has little depth to it.

LINGFIELD PARK

Race 3 No1 BRIGHT SUMMER (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

BRIGHT SUMMER is a well related individual who made her debut in a warm affair at Newbury. The half sister to five times winner Bell Song troubled the judge in that 1400 metres contest and will be more streetwise for her top connections.

Race 5 No1 METALLO (Each Way)
Trainer: John Butler – Jockey: Luke Morris

An experiment to try METALLO over a mile and a half here last month proved fruitless although the five-year-old looked menacing before his stamina gave out causing him to back-pedal quickly in the short home straight. He’s racing over a more suitable 1600 metres tonight, and has a definite chance to make this a first success in two years.

Race 7 No6 TWILIGHT MOON
Trainer: Marcus Tregoning – Jockey: Rob Hornby

Adaay filly TWILIGHT MOON has just 3lb more to carry than when coming back to score over the course and distance last month, and is on the cusp of completing a hat-trick. With her tail up the four-year-old can maintain her progression, and take the spoils at the main expense of VICTORS SPIRIT.
