The 23-year-old Spanish international winger came up through the Barca ranks before spending a season on loan in the English Premier League with Brighton and Hove Albion.

Upon his return to Spain, Fati made just 11 appearances in the 2024/25 campaign and was loaned out again last term.

But he has impressed in Ligue with 11 goals in 28 games and says he would welcome a return to Barcelona and a chance to prove himself in LaLiga.

Fati told Radio SER Catalunya: “My dream was to succeed at Barcelona, but many things happened that people don’t know or see.

“We must accept things and what comes with time. In football, everything happens very quickly. There is no patience, and fate chose this path for me.

“I hope to finish the season, and then make the decision that I think is best for me and my family,” Fati added when quizzed about his plans for next season.
