The way you act and what you say can have consequences, at the end of the day, you have to deal with the results of your own actions.

Chelsea FC has shown this by suspending Enzo Fernandez for two matches after comments he made during the international break on Luzo TV about a possible move to Real Madrid.

He said, “I always tell my wife Valu that if I have to choose a city in Europe to live in, I’d love Madrid because it’s very similar to Buenos Aires in terms of lifestyle and everything”.

The 25-year-old still has one more game to sit out as part of his suspension. He already missed the first match, the FA Cup fixture against Port Vale on Saturday, April 4, where Chelsea FC won 7–0.

The next match will be in the Premier League fixture against Manchester City, which he will sit out. If selected, he’ll be back on April 18 against Manchester United.

During a Press conference interview, Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior expressed his disappointment in the young football star. “I think for Enzo, it’s disappointing to speak in that way. What I will say about Enzo is in terms of him as a character.

“I have no bad words to say about him, but I think a line was crossed in terms of our culture and what we want to build.”

The midfielder still has six years left on his Chelsea contract, which is set to end in June 2032. Fernandez joined the Blues on January 31, 2023, from Benfica.

Former footballer and Sports Commentator Frank Leboeuf feels like Chelsea took it too far by suspending Enzo, and the answer was a trap.

“No, I think they went too far. They should have gone public and told him the next time you shut up and go ahead.

“Because they need Enzo Fernandez on the field. Do you think the guy who asked Enzo the question does not know the answer to it?.

“It’s breaking news. Well done to the journalist”.
