PLUMPTON

Race 2 No4 KOOL KID
Trainer: Joe Tizzard – Jockey: Brendan Powell

KOOL KID demonstrated his effectiveness around this tight track when easily taking out a handicap hurdle at the last meeting. His trainer now pitches him straight into a handicap chase, but he’s looked good in his schooling at home, and should add this to his laurels.

Race 3 No8 CHARLES MORIN (Each Way)
Trainer: Pat Phelan – Jockey: Sean Houlihan

CHARLES MORIN has no form over hurdles but he’s been earning on a regular basis on the all-weather, which makes him a fascinating contender as long as he can brush up his jumping on a first run under Rules in 15 months.

Race 5 No2 WEST ORCHARD (Nap)
Trainer: Joe Tizzard – Jockey: Brendan Powell

WEST ORCHARD came agonisingly close to doing us a favour when beaten in a close photo at Wincanton. He’s on the cusp of a return to the winners’ circle and can make this a fifth triumph over fences for a stable doing very well with its handicap chasers.

Race 7 No4 LUNA MARQUESA
Trainer: Joe Tizzard – Jockey: Brendan Powell

LUNA MARQUESA hails from a good jumping family and despite lacking previous experience is one to watch closely in the betting in the nightcap.

FFOS LAS

Race 3 No2 WHISKEY YANKEE (Nap)
Trainer: Sam Thomas – Jockey: Dylan Johnston

WHISKEY YANKEE couldn’t cut the mustard at Grade 2 level last time but now returns to a track where he’s excelled, whilst also moving into calmer waters. His stable had no luck at Cheltenham, but he’s strongly fancied to put this race to bed.

Race 4 No3 FORTUNATE MAN
Trainer: Jonjo O’Neill – Jockey: Johno O’Neill Jr

With his horses in the middle of a hot streak, O’Neill can provide the answer to this handicap chase with FORTUNATE MAN. The selection has been a beaten favourite on his last two of three starts this season but wasn’t at all disgraced when fifth in the Eider Chase, and is set for a bountiful time of things in the weeks ahead.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 1 No1 MAGNETUDE
Trainer: James Owen – Jockey: Luke Morris

MAGNETUDE faces rivals of the same ilk in that they are running in a handicap for the first time, but the Palace Pier colt caught the eye in each of his last two outings in 2025 and in the colours of Bill Gredley is strongly fancied to take the spoils under top weight.

Race 3 No1 TED LE SAUX (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

TED LE SAUX landed some good bets at Newcastle when downing an odds-on opponent and is very hard to oppose under a penalty with the champion jockey in his saddle. The combination should make no mistake.

Race 7 a No1 CRIMSON RAMBLER
Trainer: George Scott – Jockey: Liam Wright

CRIMSON RAMBLER has been impressive in his two AW successes gained since he was stepped up to the 1600 metres trip. He acts well round here, and though higher in the weights is in sight of completing a fine hat-trick.
