MUSSELBURGH

Race 1 No2 MOSSY FEN ROAD (Nap)
Trainer: Harry Derham – Jockey: Paul O’Brien

Such was the dominance of MOSSY FEN ROAD when he scored at Chepstow on Welsh National day that it’s impossible to oppose him in this trial for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. Meeting CAPTAIN HUGO at level weights today, he should readily dispose of that rival on the way to the Festival.

Race 5 No1 ROCK MY WAY
Trainer: Joe Tizzard – Jockey: Brendan Powell

ROCK MY WAY appeared to have an off day when unplaced in the Welsh National but that was a far tougher assignment for him than today’s. The top weight has benefitted from a mid season break, and is ready to put his best foot forward in the featured Edinburgh National.

Race 6 No11 FLORIDA DREAMS (Each Way)
Trainer: Nicky Richards – Jockey: Brian Hughes

FLORIDA DREAMS has struggled to get his head in front this season, but the eight-year-old is a course winner who looked unlucky not to finish closer when third on latest start at Aintree. This is much more his bag, and given some racing real estate in the home straight he can take away another cheque.

MARKET RASEN

Race 2 No1 ROI DU RISK
Trainer: Henrietta Knight – Jockey: Charlie Deutsch

Although he carries a penalty for his Leicester win, ROI DU RISK may be good enough to back it up. He’s happier racing over today’s trip and will enjoy the testing conditions, while his stable is in good form.

Race 3 No3 ALLTALKNOACTION
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Jamie Hamilton

ALTALKNOACTION carries colours that have met with notable success in National Hunt this season. The addition of cheek pieces saw him go close here on a third run of the season, and while he’s been raised 4lb this relatively unexposed individual could have more to offer.

Race 7 No2 GRAIN TRADE (Nap)
Trainer: Billy Aprahamian – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

At a course where he posted his only previous success, GRAIN TRADE can prove a bet worth waiting for. He’s enjoyed a freshening break since chasing home a good yardstick at Huntingdon in December, and while some from his stable have been in need of a run that shouldn’t apply to him.
