LINGFIELD PARK

Race 3 No1 AFANCY GETAWAY
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Ben Jones

SEA PRESENTING has the points on the board from last season when she earned in all four starts, and now returns from a breathing op. However, AFANCY DANCER impressed in the pointing field, and having joined a top stable whose horses are pinging, she should convert on this first outing under Rules.

Race 5 No2 MONDO MAN (Nap)
Trainer: Gary Moore – Jockey: Caoilin Quinn

For a horse that ran well in the French Derby and finished fourth in the Group 3 Ormonde Stakes, whilst facing strong opposition in his three starts over hurdles last season, MONDO MAN looks a ready made answer to this novices’ hurdle and should make no mistake.

Race 6 No1 DEFI NONANTAIS
Trainer: Joe Tizzard – Jockey: Jack Tudor

GETAWAY WITH YOU has the ability to win this but has a definite kink in his armour and can’t be trusted. That should open the door for DEFI NONANTAIS to deliver on his return to action for a stable that’s come alive through November. He has few miles on his racing clock, and will be suited by track, trip and ground.

UTTOXETER

Race 6 a No2 SOLDIER’S LEAP (Nap)

SOLDIER’S LEAP is the only advice on this card but should do himself justice as a deserving favourite in a race where his rivals have been out of form. He made a winning comeback four weeks ago which followed three earning runs last season, and now gets a hood added to help him settle.

TAUNTON

Race 7 No11 NO RISK TODAY (Nap)
Trainer: Fergal O’Brien – Jockey: Jonathan Burke

NO RISK TODAY comes right at the end of the action but has two factors in his favour in that he’s a once raced unbeaten point-to-pointer who hails from a stable that has a good record with its horses in bumpers at this track. He looks the route to goal.

NEWCASTLE

Race 3 No7 MYTHICAL BAY (Each Way)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Callum Hutchinson

New Bay colt MYTHICAL BAY picked up a minor cheque on his first run at Bath which should have done him a power of good. Against paper favourite DIRECTOR’S CUT he can make a splash as a value alternative, as he’s trained well on a similar all-weather surface at home.

Race 4 No3 NIKOVO (Each Way)
Trainer: Michael Herrington – Jockey: PJ McDonald

NIKOVO is back on the same mark as when going close at this course in the summer. He remains a speculative selection and will start at a working mans’ price, but if in the mood he can get into the argument with his customary late bid.

CHELMSFORD CITY

Race 2 No9 SNOW LIGHT (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

SNOW LIGHT is handily berthed against the rail for this third career start in which she could know too much for her rivals. The Dark Angel filly improved from her first run to finish second at Kempton, showing in the process her liking for the Polytrack surface. She’s open to further progression.

Race 7 No9 DIEGO EL QUESO
Trainer: Ger Lyons – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

The best race of the night can fall to Irish raider DIEGO EL QUESO. With his stout pedigree on the dam’s side he looks sure to benefit from a step up to a mile and a quarter, but aside from that he’s been running consistently well at Dundalk. One that can assist with swingers and exactas is BRAGBOR, who regularly troubles the judge and will again be hard to keep out of the shake-up.

Race 9 No1 KINDEST NATION
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: Toby Moore

Moore is making the best of his apportion ties and has a good chance of another success on top weight KINDEST NATION, who finished with a rattle to score at Newcastle and can defy a penalty.
