The 40-year-old coach fired back by saying,” What we need to focus on is in the future. We know that we as a club made a lot of mistakes in the past, but we are trying to change that.

“So, let’s not focus on what happened. Let’s focus on what we are doing now, and we are doing that.

“We are hanging a lot of things in the structure, the way we do things, the way we want the players to behave.

“We are doing that and we are improving, so let’s focus on the way we are doing things. We are improving, let’s continue and forget a little bit the past.”

Manchester United have been trying to rebuild their form after a very poor season. Last year, new manager Ruben Amorim was still getting to know the team and trying to fix the problems left by Erik ten Hag. The team finished 15th in the league, which was the worst season in the club’s history.

The 2025–2026 season did not start well either, as the players were still adjusting to Amorim’s style. But now, things are beginning to improve.

The team is playing with more confidence, the players understand each other better, and the results are getting stronger. Manchester United are slowly climbing up the league table, and fans are starting to believe that the team is on the right track again.

With them finally starting to show consistency, with no losses in their last five games out of the 11 they have played so far this season.
