NEWMARKET

Race 2 No11 SEEWAY
Trainer: David Menuisier – Jockey: Silvestre De Sousa

SEEWAY showed promise on debut in a valuable maiden at Doncaster where he was too keen for his own good in the early stages and didn’t get home. The Galiway colt fared better dropped back to 1400 metres at Salisbury when in finishing third he was clear of the rest of the field. He remains at that trip and looks over priced.

Race 4 No2 EXPLOSION (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Johnston – Jockey: Silvestre De Sousa

Showcasing colt EXPLOSION can complete a hat-trick in this interesting stayers’ nursery. After opening his account at Windsor her relished the step up to a mile and a quarter at Chelmsford. He’s a good actioned horse who should be equally as effective on this better ground.

Race 5 No5 ORANGESANDLEMONS
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Warren Fentiman

While it took ORANGESANDLEMONS five outings on turf before adding to her Southwell success in the winter, the Mayson filly looked happier stretching out to this trip at Nottingham where she was firmly on top at the finish. Fentiman got

WORCESTER

Race 1 No2 PIC ROC (Nap)
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Ben Jones

PIC ROC endured a topsy turvy first season over fences when drawing a blank but nevertheless running well in defeat on a couple of occasions. Missing the start cost him in a novices’ handicap chase at the Cheltenham Festival while he appeared to have lost his confidence in subsequent outings at Ayr and Sandown. Reappearing with his novice status intact he’s ready for this clash with odds-on Wendigo.

Race 2 No8 LUCKY LUGGER
Trainer: Matt Sheppard – Jockey: Richard Patrick

One that can go well at a price is LUCKY LUGGER, who finished in the money in each of his six completed outings over fences last season, and who doesn’t take much getting ready. He’s a strong traveller who can trouble the judge again on this first visit to Worcester.

Race 4 No4 HERON IN THE PARK
Trainer: Tom George – Jockey: Harry Cobden

George runs a couple of interesting novices here, with bumper and point winner HERON IN THE PARK taken to remain unbeaten on her debut over jumps. The mare has schooled well while Cobden is an eye taking booking for her.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 6 No9 SARAB STAR (Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Tom Marquand

SARAB STAR returns to the scene of his comeback triumph, having been taken out of a handicap at Leicester last week when connections felt the ground was too soft. The Zoustar colt is well drawn for this mile test and Marquand, who was in the hot seat last time, keeps the ride.

Race 2 No2 DEPORTED
Trainer: Ollie Sangster – Jockey: Jamie Spencer

DEPORTED ran with considerable promise on debut at Sandown and has worked well on an all-weather surface at home. His trainer thinks he will appreciate easier conditions on grass, but in the meantime he can take this in the hands of a jockey whose been in the headlines.
