The 24-year-old joined the Bundesliga side in the summer on a £14 million season long loan deal with an estimated £56 million option to buy, that is only triggered if Jackson starts 40 matches this season.

However, TBR Football reports claim that the Bavarians have been impressed by the new forward and are willing to renegotiate terms in order to keep the Senegalese star.

Jackson has only started two matches this season and is likely to miss part of the season when he joins Senegal for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025) tournament in December.

The striker scored his first goal for the club in the 5-1 demolition of Cypriot side Pafos in their UEFA Champions League clash on Tuesday.

“I’m very happy here, everyone welcomed me very well, said Jackson after the match.

“I feel at home. We’ll see what the future brings.”

He is expected to join Senegal ahead of their final 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Sudan and Mauritiana, where the Lions of Teranga need only a single win to secure qualification to the global showpiece.
