CHESTER

Race 1 No4 PRINCESS RASCAL (Nap)
Trainer: Oliver Cole – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

PRINCESS RASCAL looked unlucky when the winner got first run on her at Windsor, and on a track that’s going to suit her racing style she should go one better. The Pinatubo filly was coming back from a mid season break at the riverside course and should have benefitted from the run, while any cut in the ground is not a concern.

Race 4 No11 CELANDINE (Each Way)
Trainer: Ed Walker – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark

Having side-stepped the King George Stakes this provides a more achievable task for CELANDINE. The Kingman filly took out a Listed race at Newmarket as well as the Group 2 Lowther at York in her juvenile season and will find the underfoot conditions on the Roodee more to her liking than would have been the case after the Thursday monsoon at Goodwood

Race 5 No3 LOOK BACK SMILING (Each Way)
Trainer: Gemma Tutty – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

LOOK BACK SMILING has been in the wilderness for longer than he deserves, and has solid claims to end the drought after troubling the judge at Doncaster in similar underfoot conditions that he will encounter today. Rossa Ryan is an eye catching booking for this hold up performer.

YARMOUTH

Race 1 No1 MOON TARGET (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Luke Morris

MOON TARGET to beat Space Bear is the way this interesting novice should pan out. The Nap attracted a wedge of support before delivering in style on her Newmarket introduction. She’s an exciting prospect who should have too many guns for her similarly unbeaten in one rival.

Race 4 No5 PAY ATTENTION (Each Way)
Trainer: Faye Bramley – Jockey: Jack Dace

It could be worth giving another chance to PAY ATTENTION to bounce back from an underwhelming effort at Newmarket last time. Prior to that he had proved a regular earner and winner. He’s carded to start at a double figure price which makes him a shade more attractive than the paper favourite Arundel.
