YARMOUTH

Race 1 No8 GORGEOUS MR GEORGE (Nap)
Trainer: Dylan Cunha – Jockey: Kyle Strydom

South African Cunha has found Yarmouth a happy hunting ground this season, and may enjoy more with GORGEOUS MR GEORGE in this bottom grade handicap. The Nap was rewarded for a string of near misses when scoring over course and distance at the beginning of the month and also finished second over six furlongs here earlier in the year. He’s carrying a ring of confidence to post against two other recent winners in BORN A REBEL and ROGUE DYNASTY.

Race 5 No5 NAUGHTY NIALL
Trainer: Ian Williams – Jockey: Silvestre De Sousa

On his first visit to this course, NAUGHTY NIALL was nailed in a head bob by Cathedral Peak. The winner failed to uphold the form last week, but nevertheless it was a cracking effort from the selection on only his fifth ever run on turf. He appeals as a horse that is ready to win again.

AYR

Race 3 No6 BOY DOUGLAS
Trainer: Michael Dods – Jockey: Connor Beasley

BOY DOUGLAS confirmed his liking for this track with a third career triumph earlier in the month. The fact that each of those successes happened here adds extra allure to his claims and he’s the go-to horse for a stable that is runnng into some form.

Race 6 No2 ZUFFALO
Trainer: Michael Dods – Jockey: Connor Beasley

Prior to his frame finish at Catterick last time, ZUFFALO hadn’t shown much in 2025 but the run suggests he’s eased back onto a mark from which he can operate successfully. Most of his opponents are out of form, while he has a top northern pilot doing the steering.

SOUTHWELL

Race 2 No3 KEY OF MAGIC (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: William Buick

Justify colt KEY OF MAGIC wasn’t quite able to deliver following market support on his Sandown introduction when his longer priced stablemate Pacifica Pier and Publish proved thorns in his side. The form was however boosted when the runner-up went one better last week, and granted normal progression the Godolphin runner can open his account.

Race 4 No6 MASTER RICHARD (Each Way)
Trainer: Ann Duffield – Jockey: David Nolan

MASTER RICHARD has yet to add to his laurels since undergoing wind surgery, but he’s run well in a couple of better races than this, offering credence to the view that there should soon be a race in him.

WINDSOR

Race 1 No1 JAX EDGE (Nap)
Trainer: Christopher Mason – Jockey: Jack Dace

This has cut up in favour of JAX EDGE, who is proving a useful moneyspinner for her connections. The Cable Bay mare hasn’t cut much ice on two previous visits to this riverside course, but against that they happened a long time ago, and she’s been in great form through the winter and into 2025 with figures of 11-22.

Race 4 No6 CHIEF MANKATO (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Edward Greatrex

CHIEF MANKATO put it all together to open his account for Channon and landed some good bets in the process at Chepstow. While not without his issues he now has the bit between himself and having looked tip top in his last bit of fast work is strongly fancied to follow-up.

Race 6 No10 GOOD SHOT
Trainer: Andrew Baldng – Jockey: Rob Hornby

GOOD SHOT only just missed the bullseye on her latest outing where a switch to grass and into the handicap arena undoubtedly assisted her. Having only a fifth career start, there should be more to come from this Lightning Spear filly carrying the famous Mellon colours.
