The disappointing result, marred by safety car periods, marked a low point for the Scuderia, who endured a challenging weekend at Silverstone.

Leclerc, typically a frontrunner, suffered multiple off-track moments, including a costly clash with former teammate Carlos Sainz, which dashed Williams’ hopes of scoring points. The Monegasque driver’s woes began in qualifying, where a mistake in Q3 cost them a potential front-row start.

“I messed up,” Leclerc admitted over team radio, frustrated by their error.

The race brought further challenges. Ferrari opted to switch from intermediate to medium dry tires after the formation lap, a decision Leclerc took responsibility for. “It was my call,” he said post-race. “Sectors one and two felt ready for slicks, but the third was wet. I expected the track to dry faster, but it didn’t.”

Several teams made the same miscalculation, but Ferrari paid a heavy price.

While the tire choice contributed to their struggles, Leclerc pinpointed a deeper issue: a lack of outright pace. “The tire decision was part of it, but the biggest problem was our pace, or lack of it,” he told reporters. “We were nowhere, about a second off. I want answers before we head to Spa.”

Ferrari’s engineers now face intense scrutiny as they analyze data ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix.

Leclerc emphasized the urgency, saying, “We’ll work hard to understand what went wrong.”

Posts on X echoed fans’ frustration, with many calling for Ferrari to address their inconsistent form to keep Leclerc competitive in the championship fight.

With the summer break looming, Ferrari are under pressure to resolve these issues and return stronger at Spa-Francorchamps.
