AYR

Race 2 No3 DODGE CITY

Trainer: Brian Meehan – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

DODGE CITY showed progression to take away a minor cheque on his second start at Newbury and this son of Victor Ludorum is fancied to open his account on the long journey from Manton at the main expense of Riki Tiki Tavi.

Race 4 No3 GOOD MORNING ALEX

Trainer: David Barron – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

GOOD MORNING ALEX’s liking for the Scottish air can manifest itself in a victory in this interesting Class3. He was narrowly denied at Carlisle last week, and though being raised 3lb for his efforts looks in a good place to return to winning ways.

Race 5 No4 POL ROGER (Each Way)

Trainer: Michael Dods – Jockey: Rhys Elliott

POL ROGER has been a work in progress this season when in three starts he’s not quite looked like a horse that’s ready to win. However, now back on his favourite terrain he can put behind him an underwhelming effort at York, with Elliott’s 5lb claim assisting his chance.

MARKET RASEN

Race 4 No4 CONQUER THE BREEZE (Nap)

Trainer: Maurice Barnes – Jockey: Charlie Price

CONQUER THE BREEZE laid down a marker for this with a snug success at Hexham. He’s closely handicapped with the equally in form Prospect House, but as a course and distance scorer is narrowly preferred.

Race 5 No9 PLANNED PARADISE (Each Way)

Trainer: Christian Williams – Jockey: Jack Tudor

PLANNED PARADISE looked like a horse on the way back when chasing home Hold Your Fort at Newton Abbot. He takes a while to warm to his task, but should give a good account against Nickelforce and Pull Again Green.
