HAYDOCK PARK
Race 3 No3 MISTER MOËT
Trainer: Adrian Nicholls – Jockey: Harrison Shaw
MISTER MOËT showed tremendous speed to open his account at Carlisle and has a good chance of following-up now switched to a nursery. He is learning all the time, and hails from a stable that excels with its sprinters.
Race 5 No6 LOOK TO THE STARS (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: William Buick
Granted his connections fine record with it juveniles on debut at this course, LOOK TO THE STARS should prove hard to beat after showing plenty of ability in his work in Newmarket. The vibes are especially strong for the son of Galiway, who is ready for this first public outing.
YARMOUTH
Race 4 No2 HIGH APPROVAL (Nap)
Trainer: H Al Jehani – Jockey: James Doyle
HIGH APPROVAL enjoys an experience edge over Kodi Island, having missed the break after being heavily backed on his introduction at Nottingham. The Mehmas colt has worked well since that race five weeks ago, and should know too much for his Godolphin-owned rival.
Race 5 No8 PAY ATTENTION (Each Way)
Trainer: Faye Bramley – Jockey: Jack Dace
After a string of earning efforts PAY ATTENTION opened his account at the end of May and comes here full of confidence for his clash with Inquisition. He represents value if near his paper price of 5-1.
Race 6 No12 GORGEOUS MR GEORGE
Trainer: Dylan Cunha – Jockey: Kyle Strydom
GORGEOUS MR GEORGE a has done his turf racing exclusively at this track, finishing second and beaten by a nostril on his latest visit last month. This is only a third career start on grass for the chestnut, who can post an overdue career-first success.
NEWBURY
Race 4 No1 WOODSTOCK (Nap)
Trainer; Ruth Carr – Jockey: Joanna Mason
A dual winner here last season, WOODSTOCK can remain unbeaten at the Berkshire venue and open his account for 2025. The five-year-old is a better operator on turf, and showed with an earning run two starts back at Redcar that he’s on the cusp of a return to form.
KEMPTON PARK
Race 1 No6 GLINT OF LIGHT (Each Way)
Trainer: Hughie Morrison – Jockey: Rob Hornby
Cracksman filly GLINT OF LIGHT has been educated with back-to-back visits to Lingfield where she’s made the podium both on Polytrack and on grass. In this big field she is favourably drawn, and looks the one that can cause problems to multiple bumper and hurdles winner Dysart Enos.
Race 3 No7 CHALK MOUNTAIN (Each Way)
Trainer: Stuart Kittow – Jockey: Rob Hornby
CHALK MOUNTAIN gained his last success on this terrain last autumn, since when the grey had endured mixed fortunes. However, he’s knocked on the door on each of his three races this year, and is down in grade from his near miss at Newbury three weeks ago.
Race 5 No5 FLASH BARDOT (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Rose Dawes
FLASH BARDOT makes a belated return to the fray but is fit enough to do herself justice under a pilot that knows her well. The Sixties Icon mare has won on Polytrack but is a rare visitor to the all-weather these days. She’s competing in an open race, but granted a decent pace she should get into the shake-up.
Race 7 No2 TOKEN GESTURE (Each Way)
Trainer: Mark Usher – Jockey: Tyler Heard
TOKEN GESTURE is well drawn for this 1200 metres sprint, having opened his account over 1400 metres here on his final start of 2024. On only a fifth career start he has more potential for improvement than his foes and just needs to show he’s fully fit after a ten month absence.
