The 51-year-old, Postecoglou, led the Club for two years from June 2023 -June 2025. He was sacked after the team had a terrible season in the Premier League, finishing in 17th place.

Even though he ended the club’s 17-year trophy drought by leading them to the Europa League title, the poor league performance ultimately cost him his job.

In a statement released, Spurs spoke about why they chose Thomas Frank due to his impressive record and his role in the development of players’ skills.

“In Thomas, we are appointing one of the most progressive and innovative head coaches within the game. He has a proven track record in player and squad development, and we look forward to him leading the team as we prepare for the season ahead.”

Justin Cochrane is making a big move back to Spurs, despite Brentford’s best efforts to keep him. The 43-year-old spent nine years developing talent in Tottenham’s academy and is now set to rejoin the club’s coaching ranks.
Joining him on the London switch from Brentford’s Getch Community Stadium are fitness coach Chris Haslam and analyst Joe Newton.
Adding even more strength to the squad, Andreas Georgson will come on board from Manchester United.

Postecoglou’s assistants Mile Jedinak, Nick Montgomery, and Sergio Raimundo have all departed ,leaving Matt Wells and goalkeeping coach Rob Burch as the remaining staff.

Brentford Director of Football Phil Giles praised Frank, saying from day one he knew the assignment, he understood what they were trying to build, and he wishes him the best of luck on his new journey.

“ It has been a pleasure working alongside Thomas. From the moment he replaced Dean Smith, he understood what we were trying to build, and his wisdom, coaching ability and emotional intelligence have helped transform the club.

“There have been so many special moments with Thomas and nobody will ever forget the day at Wembley for the play-off final or that emotional first Premier League game against Arsenal.
