BRIGHTON

Race 1 No2 POP DANCER
Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: David Egan

As a regular visitor to this switchback course from a stable that harvests the low level handicaps, POP DANCER can supplement his authoritative success of two weeks ago to ignite another good day for Tony Carroll. The ultra consistent performer is the best bet on the card and can make this a third triumph from his last four outings.

Race 5 No7 TIME PATROL
Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: David Egan

Carroll is responsible for a third of the 9-strong field including TIME PATROL as he seeks to extend his impressive winning sequence to four. The Time Test gelding has incurred the wrath of the handicapper, but since his return to turf has been unstoppable. He can win again.

Race 6 No3 POETIC FORCE
Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: David Egan

At a longer price POETIC FORCE can be another for Carroll and Egan. The Lope De Vega gelding is fancied to turn the tables on his recent conqueror here and stablemate River Wharfe.

SOUTHWELL

Race 2 No3 WE GOT YOUR BACK
Trainer: Laura Morgan – Jockey: Brian Hughes

French Symphony represents top connections and seems certain to attract a welter of support. He’s on the cusp of a breakthrough but could find WE GOT YOUR BACK too hot to handle. The selection has also been knocking on the door and is poised to regain the winning thread for a trainer who does well with her handicap chasers.

Race 3 No4 BRINDLEY
Trainer: P Neville – Jockey: Brian Hughes

BRINDLEY has been a slow burner since going jumping but has to be of interest getting weight from his foes in a race that is bound to be a tactical affair. At a juicy price he can post a minor upset.

Race 4 No8 BETTY’S TIARA
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Ben Jones

Three major stables are represented in this maiden hurdle in which BETTY’S TIARA can take the spoils. Although a tad disappointing on her latest start her earlier form was very solid, and good enough if repeated to enable her to land the spoils.

PONTEFRACT

Race 3 No4 EDUCATOR (Nap)
Trainer: Henrietta Knight – Jockey: Oisin Orr

With his back to back recent successes, EDUCATOR has been largely responsible for Henrietta Knight’s good run with her Flat team. The Deep Impact gelding has his tail up, and though higher in the weights can complete a fine hat-trick.

Race 6 No10 MR HEINZ (Each Way)
Trainer: Simon Whitaker – Jockey: Cam Hardie

I can’t give you 57 reasons why MR HEINZ can go well at a price in this bottom grade handicap but here are two……he has his favoured cut in the ground and has run well to a point in each of his four starts in 2025. It still requires a certain stretch of the imagination to go with him but he’s copping plenty of weight from the others, most of whom look beatable.

WINDSOR

Race 3 No3 NAHRAAN
Trainer: John Gosden – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

This should prove easy meat for Make Believe colt NAHRAAN who got the job done in a professional manner on debut at Wolverhampton and should relish the step up to a mile and a quarter. He’s bred to handle these slightly easy conditions on a switch to grass for top connections.

Race 4 No7 MISS ATTITUDE (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: David Probert

MISS ATTITUDE has developed into a powerful specimen and with a top pilot on her back has a better chance than her price indicates. Whilst needing everything to fall into place, her hold up tactics can pay dividends on the back of a very encouraging effort at York, where after finding trouble she only just failed to get into the money.

Race 7 No9 BOY GEORGE (Nap)
Trainer: Dominic Ffrench Davis – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

Forcing tactics suit BOY GEORGE who never looked like coming back to his field and bolted up at Chepstow. The eight-year-old has a good record at this course, and with the champion jockey in his saddle can follow up.
