The Egyptian forward finished the league with 28 goals and 18 assists, playing a decisive role in Arne Slot’s successful debut season at Anfield.

This marks Salah’s second time winning the award, having first claimed the honour in 2017–18. He becomes only the fifth player in Premier League history to win it more than once, joining an elite group that includes Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nemanja Vidić, and Kevin De Bruyne.

Now 32, Salah is poised to add another Golden Boot to his collection, leading the league’s scoring charts by five goals over Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak heading into the final day of the season. His 46 goal involvements are already a Premier League record for a 38-game season, and he has the chance to surpass the all-time record of 47 – set by Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole in a 42-game campaign – when Liverpool face Crystal Palace at Anfield on Sunday.

Salah also leads the league in assists, and should he retain that margin, he would become the first player in Premier League history to win the Player of the Season, Golden Boot, and Playmaker of the Season awards in a single campaign.

His individual accolades this season also include a third Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year award, underlining his continued influence at the top level.

Meanwhile, midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has been named the Premier League Young Player of the Season following a breakout year in which he emerged as a central figure in Slot’s system. Operating primarily as a deep-lying midfielder, the 23-year-old Dutch international played 36 league matches and was among Liverpool’s most consistent performers.

Gravenberch led all Premier League midfielders in interceptions (59), highlighting his ability to read the game and shield the back line. His composure in possession and intelligent positioning were key in Liverpool’s transition play, while his versatility allowed him to excel in multiple midfield roles.

He is only the second Liverpool player to win the Young Player of the Season award since its inception in 2019–20, following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s win in its inaugural year.

Gravenberch was one of three Liverpool players shortlisted for the main Player of the Season honour, alongside Salah and captain Virgil van Dijk. The trio also registered the most minutes played for Liverpool in the league this season, reflecting their importance to the club’s title-winning campaign.

The individual honours cap a stellar campaign for Liverpool, who secured their second Premier League title and first under new manager Arne Slot. With a strong blend of experience and emerging talent, the club looks well-positioned to sustain its resurgence both domestically and in Europe.

With Salah continuing to defy age and Gravenberch blossoming into a midfield mainstay, Liverpool’s immediate future appears bright – and potentially historic.
