Diallo, 21, has shown glimpses of his immense potential this season, racking up nine goals and eight assists in 36 appearances. However, the promising winger has struggled with injuries, including an ankle setback in February that disrupted his momentum.

Speaking in an interview with My Betting Sites, Eboue – who spent several years in the English Premier League – voiced concern about Diallo’s frequent time on the sidelines.

“Amad is like a younger brother to me, and I admire his talent,” said Eboue.

“But the truth is, he gets injured too often. As a young player, you need consistency, and right now, he’s missing too many games.”

Eboue believes Diallo should model his professionalism on Cristiano Ronaldo, known for his rigorous fitness routine and exceptional longevity.

“Cristiano Ronaldo rarely got injured because he took care of his body. He trained hard, recovered well, and he’s still playing at the top level at 40,” Eboue said.

“Amad needs to learn from that example. The ability is there, no doubt – but if he wants to be great, he has to be strong, available, and reliable week in and week out.”

With plenty of years ahead of him, Eboue remains hopeful that Diallo can fulfil his potential – if he prioritises his physical development.
