Manchester United head into the international break on the back of a 3-0 victory over Leicester City, with key fixtures on the horizon.
The club will return to action on 29 March in the FA Cup before resuming Premier League duties in early April.
Their next league match is an away clash against high-flying Nottingham Forest, who sit third in the table with 54 points from 29 games.
That is followed by the second Manchester derby of the season, where United will look to replicate their December triumph over City. In that encounter, Amad Diallo’s late goal secured a dramatic win at the Etihad Stadium.
Injury concerns remain for manager Ruben Amorim, though he is hopeful of seeing some players return next month.
Mason Mount was named on the bench against Leicester and could feature against Forest.
Meanwhile, Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo continue their recovery and might be available after the break. Both missed out on England’s selection due to their injuries.
During the international break, Amorim plans to divide his squad based on fitness levels, ensuring those returning from injury are managed carefully.
“For the coaches, it is difficult to have time off,” said Amorim.
“We are going to divide the group. Some of the players like Mason Mount and Toby [Collyer], they have to work on their fitness. We have to recover players to help [them all].”
“Harry Maguire, Kobbie Mainoo, all these players we are going to try to bring that [fitness]. The players [must make] a final push for two competitions.
“Some of the players are going to rest more days than usual. So we are going to divide and give different things to different players and try to be ready for the the final two months.”
