Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke is determined to find consistency as his side pushes towards a strong finish in the Premier League and European competition.
Spurs suffered a setback on Saturday, falling to a 2-0 defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
“It’s a difficult one to take, we came here from the game in the week against AZ and wanted to try and build on that, build momentum, go on a bit of a streak, but we didn’t manage to do that,” he told the club’s official website.
“We pride ourselves on being a fit team that can run for the full 90 minutes, a lot of the time that works in our favour at the end of the games, but they scored first quite late in the game and that killed our momentum.
“We don’t want to be that team that’s great one day and then bad another day. We want to win every game, so we need to find that consistency.”
Despite going close on three occasions, Solanke was unable to break the deadlock, as second-half goals from Rodrigo Muniz (77′) and former Spurs player Ryan Sessegnon (88′) sealed the hosts’ victory.
The loss leaves Tottenham with nine Premier League matches remaining as they seek to maintain their position in the European qualification race.
Up next is a crucial London derby against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, 3 April, where Solanke and his teammates will look to respond positively.
Beyond domestic action, Spurs are also preparing for a two-legged UEFA Europa League quarter-final tie against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The first leg takes place on 10 April, followed by the return fixture on 17 April, with a semi-final spot at stake.
