With the January transfer window now closed and key contract renewals secured, the club has shifted its focus to summer targets.

Sporting Director Deco has prioritized signing a right-back, as Hansi Flick currently has only Hector Fort as a backup to Jules Kounde.

However, Flick has not shown great confidence in Fort due to his lack of senior experience. As a result, Barcelona has been linked with several right-back options, with Munoz emerging as a strong candidate.

The 27-year-old Colombian defender, under contract with Crystal Palace until 2027, has impressed in the Premier League.

He recently registered an assist in Palace’s 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford. His release clause stands at 25 million euros, making him a relatively affordable option for Europe’s top clubs.

Barcelona is not the only club monitoring Munoz, as Manchester City and Chelsea have also expressed interest.

However, the player is not considering his future until the summer, meaning competition for his signature could intensify.
