YARMOUTH

Race 1 No2 BLAZING SPIRIT (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: William Buick

Ghaiyyath colt BLAZING SPIRIT has been showing up well in his work for Godolphin and can make it a winning debut at the main expense of fellow newcomer Wajbah.

Race 2 No5 COROLLA POINT
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: Dougie Costello

As the only unraced runner in this novice COROLLA POINT can stave off the challenges of three previous winners and seal a good start to the day for his top connections

EXETER

Race 4 No12 MORFEE
Trainer: Seamus Mullins – Jockey: James Best

While the eye is drawn to MAD MIKE it would come as no surprise to see MORFEE put up a bold showing on his return from an eight months absence. He established a good strike-rate last season, signing off with a win over fences at Plumpton, but can be just as effective over hurdles.

Race 5 No4 ABUFFALOSOLDIER
Trainer: Warren Greatrex – Jockey: James Bowen

This is a warmly contested handicap chase in which ABUFFALSOLDIER should earn. He’s looked more the finished article since being operated on for a wind affliction and at the same time having cheek pieces added, while he’s shown in the past that he can win when coming back from a break.

Race 6 No6 SECRET SNIPER
Trainer: Hughie Morrison – Jockey: David Bass

SECRET SNIPER hails from a family his trainer has done well with in bumpers and it’s a line that haven’t needed too much experience before delivering the goods. The Stimulation gelding is preferred to SAT OF GUITING who has also shown promise ahead of this first run under Rules.

NEWCASTLE

Race 5 No3 NORTHERNER
Trainer: Brian Ellison – Jockey: Ben Robinson

SIXCOR bolted up at Musselburgh, and if in the same mood will be dangerous under his penalty. However, he’s never been the most consistent of performers and that can’t be said of NORTHERNER. The Profitable filly has regularly troubled the judge this season and if enjoying luck in running can post an overdue success.

Race 6 No4 PURSUIT OF TRUTH (Nap)
Trainer: Owen Burrows – Jockey: Jason Watson

There should be room for improvement from PURSUIT OF TRUTH who when second on handicap debut at Kempton put in a career best. That was just a fourth career start for the Sea The Stars gelding, who can add to a memorable month for his Champion Stakes-winning trainer.

Race 7 No3 BARNABY
Trainer: Kevin Ryan – Jockey: Tom Eaves

BARNABY brings recent course and distance winning form to the table in colours synonymous with some useful sprinters. That signalled a big step up by the three-year-old, who if having turned a corner can with a follow-up success consolidate.
