Uruguay v Namibia
27 September
Groupama Stadium

Uruguay 1/16 | Draw 33/1 | Namibia 13/2

The South Americans have been fantastic so far, giving France a proper run in round one before falling to Italy after leading 17-7 at halftime. Of the so-called “minnow” nations at this year’s event, there’s no doubt Uruguay have been one of the standouts and will surely continue to improve with more consistent exposure at the highest level.

They now turn their attention to a Namibia outfit that has struggled so far and over whom they should expect to pick up a first win of the campaign.

The Welwitschias followed up their 71-3 defeat to the All Blacks with a 96-0 drubbing by the tournament hosts in the second round. While the side will have another shot at claiming what would be an historic first World Cup win on Wednesday, they should fall short yet again against this spirited Uruguayan outfit.

Verdict: Namibia (+18.5) 10/11
