Hollywoodbets Brand Ambassador Teko ‘The General’ Modise shares his thoughts ahead of this weekend’s blockbuster Soweto Derby as an out-of-sorts Kaizer Chiefs prepare to face red-hot Orlando Pirates.
As we head into the final quarter of the DStv Premiership season, Kaizer Chiefs – who find themselves under increasing pressure – play host to an Orlando Pirates outfit who are in really good nick at the moment.
Hollywoodbets Brand Ambassador Teko Modise, who turned out for the Sea Robbers against AmaKhosi on during a glittering career reckons his old side have all of the momentum.
“This is a fixture that I think Pirates are coming into really high on confidence, especially when compared to Chiefs. They’ve consistently found the back of the net in their last few fixtures,” said Modise.
The General, as he is known, is spot on. Pirates have netted 13 times in their last six games in all competitions, with the only defeat in that period coming against Sundowns.
“Chiefs come into this one off the back of a humbling defeat against Golden Arrows. Both the team and the coach are under pressure, so I don’t think they’ll open up and play with too much freedom. They will play to avoid defeat,” Modise told the Hollywoodbets Sports Blog.
Speaking about Pirates’ chances, Modise had this to say “I see Pirates winning this one comfortably. I think Chiefs will sit in a low block and defend for their lives, especially after what happened last weekend against Golden Arrows.”
Both sides are currently in the hunt for a Champions League place, with Pirates sitting third, three points ahead of their Soweto Rivals. Saturday’s encounter kicks off at 15:30 and will be played – as always – at the FNB Stadium.
