Friday 24 February

SuperSport United 8/10  | Draw 37/20 | Maritzburg United 38/10 (19:30)

Maritzburg has played every Friday for the last three weeks and opens the gameweek yet again, with a trip to face SuperSport United. Ernst Middendorp knows the priority at The Team of Choice and did well to limit Orlando Pirates to shots from distance in the first 45 minutes, but ultimately lost 2-1. While SuperSport sit on the opposite end of the table, they are in tremendously poor form, with just one win from their last seven fixtures. One shining light is Bradley Grobler poised to join an elite group of PSL footballers to reach 100 goals. Neither side seem likely to get the victory and a draw is very probable.

Richards Bay 29/20 | Draw 7/20| Stellenbosch 9/20 (17:30)

Richards Bay are in a spot of bother now after four games without a win and two without a goal; the form they showed in the beginning of the season has dramatically dwindled. Stellenbosch’s push to distance themselves from the relegation zone has begun to gather momentum with two straight victories, but a major downside is the incapability of securing a clean sheet – five successive games. Stellenbosch win.

Sekhukhune United 27/20 | Draw 37/20 | CT City 9/4 (17:30)

Coach Brandon “Brakkies” Truter has shown great strides in unifying a Sekhukhune United squad some would assume is worthy of competing for a top half finish (of the top eight). A win over struggling CT City could edge them closer to this opportunity, but the Western Cape side have broken a three-match losing streak and a little confidence will be present in their play. Get behind the draw.

AmaZulu 14/10 | Draw 19/10 | Royal AM 43/20 (20:00)

Royal AM did well to secure a draw against SuperSport United for a third straight meeting on a wet and difficult afternoon at Chatsworth Stadium. While on the first game upon signing a contract extension, Romain Folz suffered a sixth defeat of the season. AmaZulu lost 2-0 in the reverse fixture against Royal AM, and that was in a rough patch for the away team. Now, John Maduka has brought back some liveliness. Back the away win.

Sunday 26 February

Chippa United 14/10 | Draw 19/10 | Swallows 43/20 (15:30)

Closing out the gameweek, a relegation six pointer between Chippa United and Swallows takes place at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. The red card of Bongani Sam leaves the Swallows’ defense without one of their crucial players as they attempt to bounce back after a 2-0 loss to CT City. While the backline is now a concern, a more pressing worry is the lack of goals – just two in the Dube Birds’ last five. Chippa played a relegation six pointer in a 2-1 loss to Stellenbosch last time out, and more pressure builds should they fail here. Swallows have not lost to Chippa since 2015, and we can expect the trend to remain. Swallows win.

DOUBLE @ 9/3
Stellenbosch Win 22/10
Swallows Win 43/20
