Stellenbosch FC did not get to celebrate their 2-1 victory away to Chippa United as they received the sad news of the passing of youth international Oshwin Andries.

Stellenbosch FC did not get to celebrate their 2-1 victory away to Chippa United as they received the sad news of the passing of youth international Oshwin Andries.
Andries, born in Cloeteville in Stellenbosch was enjoying his maiden season in the DStv Premiership, playing for Stellenbosch. He came through the ranks and was the brightest prospect and one for the future both for club and country.
In 2022, Andries won DStv Diski Challenge with Stellies before jetting out of the country to win the challenge in the UK. He also won Bayhill under 19 Cup and was part of the u/20 national team squad that played COSAFA in Eswatini.
He made his senior debut at Stellies and won the Man of the Match award against Pirates. The following match he scored his first goal against Royal AM at just 19.
