Ireland’s premier flat racecourse, The Curragh, will undergo another splash of purple powered passion on 13 October 2022 when sportsbook operator, Hollywoodbets, builds further on its ongoing support for the sport of kings on the Emerald Isle.
Appropriately known as the ‘place of the running horse’, The Curragh’s racing heritage presents a proud achievement of equine dedication that has stood the test of time.
Home to all five classic races on the Irish racing calendar, The Curragh will host the third Hollywoodbets race-day on 13 October 2022 following a commitment announced in March 2022. Hollywoodbets’ sponsorship has spanned across 13 races over an eight-month period, further underlining the purple brand’s commitment to the horseracing industry in Ireland.
The Curragh hosted the first race day in the series on 10 April 2022, which featured two high-class headliners in the Hollywoodbets Alleged Stakes and the Hollywoodbets Gladness Stakes.
Hollywoodbets was also the title sponsor on day one of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Festival at The Curragh on 24 June 2022, when its football partner, English Premier side Brentford FC, sponsored The Garden Province Irish EBF Maiden.
In an intriguing first, and some 14 400km away in Durban, South Africa, Brentford became the first English Premier League team to have naming rights to a Gr1 race on African soil on the occasion of the Hollywoodbets Durban July. This was arranged by Hollywoodbets on behalf of Brentford to showcase their commitment to increasing awareness of horseracing and football internationally and towards efforts to opening the popular sporting codes up to new audiences and markets.
On 13 October 2022, Hollywoodbets will be at The Curragh to contribute towards the world-class racing which the historic racetrack embodies. Hollywoodbets will be providing bespoke winners’ rugs for the horses, grooms’ prizes and trophies to all winning owners.
In addition, punters can participate in a fun ‘Spin and Win’ competition on the day.
