NOTTINGHAM

Race 1 – TOKYO BAY 9/4

Debutantes might have the edge in this contest with a bold bid expected from yet to race TOKYO BAY who represents the Karl Burke yard, which does well with their juveniles.

Both Mounty Dukono and Valvano make their respective debuts from top connections. The Market could prove the best guide as to chances.

Contacto started long odds when downfield at the Newmarket Rowley Mile first up and takes on an easier task here.

Race 4 – MR ALAN 18/10

MR ALAN made a respectable return from 265 days on the sidelines when sixth at Ayr last month, only faltering inside the final furlong, and should strip fitter for the Watch Irish Racing On Racing TV Handicap.

George Boughey’s charge took in a trip to the Scottish track prior to winning this same race 12 months ago on soft ground, before running well to finish fifth of 21 in Doncaster’s November Handicap on heavy.

Race 5 – GOOD POINT 3/1

GOOD POINT draws closer to a well-deserved success after four consecutive placings.

Continues over five furlongs following a good third at York and has a strong chance.

Band Of Joy completed a double at the start of his career. Given a break since a fifth at Chepstow the end of August and better is anticipated running fresh.

Je Ne Sais Quoi bounced back to form with a good second at Goodwood. Holds each-way claims.

Race 7 – RHUBARB 9/4

RHUBARB kept on well to oblige in tough conditions at this venue recently and remains nicely treated in the Every Race Live On Racing TV Handicap on her old form, despite a 3lb uplift.

Alfred Cove showed better form finishing runner-up at Wolverhampton in latest. Firmly in the mix if replicating that performance.

Willingly raced well all three starts since a break including a fourth at this track tackling 6f in latest.

Object holds each-way claims with top weight.

BATH

Race 2 – APACHE STAR 4/1

APACHE STAR went close when denied a neck on heavy ground at Nottingham.

The Mark Loughnane gelding is two from four over course and distance and is considered up 1lbs.

Four-time course winner Sarah’s Verse may go well on the back of a decent fourth-placed finish attempting five furlongs at Leicester.

Connie Rose’s battled on well to win by a neck tackling five furlongs here last-time-out and warrants thought along with Giddy Aunt who is now fitted with first-time cheekpieces.

Race 3 – RAWAASI 5/4

RAWAASI can also end a frustrating run in the Vickers.Bet EBF Novice Stakes over five furlongs.

The daughter of Blue Point has performed with credit several times over slightly longer, each time being prominent early on before just finding one or two too strong in the latter stages.

Simon and Ed Crisford have opted for a drop down to the minimum trip and the two-year-old filly gets the nod to last home this time.

Race 4 – MIMIKYU 5/4

MIMIKYU can take advantage of a drop in class by winning the British Stallion Studs EBF Beckford Stakes.

John and Thady Gosden’s filly was last seen finishing a slightly unlucky fifth behind Sea Silk Road in the Group One Prix de Royallieu at ParisLongchamp.

The four-year-old has yet to hit the target this term, but should find Listed-level company far more conducive here and is fancied to secure a confidence-boosting success.

Last season’s three victories began with a game defeat of the useful Time Lock at Haydock and ended with Group Two glory in the Park Hill at Doncaster.

Mimikyu kicked off this year with a short-head second to River Of Stars at York and was then placed in the Lancashire Oaks.

The Gosdens gave her a little break following a below-par Goodwood effort and this is now by far her best chance of 2023 to return to winning ways, especially as she is proven at a mile and six furlongs on an easy surface.

Race – KILLALAON

KILLALAON looked progressive prior to pulling-up when hurdling at Sandown in April.

The Paul Nicholls trained gelding could be fit enough to do himself justice after a break and he looks well-treated off this mark on flat handicap debut.

Easter Icon relished testing conditions winning over two miles at Catterick last time and makes for obvious appeal off this revised mark.

Zillion and Spiced Rum can also enter the equation.

KEMPTON

Race 1 – SONG OF SUCCESS 9/2

SONG OF SUCCESS always appeared to be doing enough winning over six furlongs at Wolverhampton and from a nice draw in stall six is considered.

Four-time course and distance winner Tyger Bay looks interesting revisiting this venue.

Mohareb could be thereabouts after finishing a good runner-up behind a highly progressive horse at Chelmsford last outing.

Race 3 – EZRA CEE 9/4

EZRA CEE can confirm the promise of his debut third behind two useful-looking types at Newmarket when reappearing in the Unibet More Extra Place Races Restricted Novice Stakes.

Peter Chapple-Hyam’s two-year-old son of No Nay Never was bang in contention a furlong out that day and is expected to relish a drop down in distance, both on his display at headquarters and breeding-wise.

Race 6 – DR FOSTER 13/10

The Mick Appleby-trained DR FOSTER can get off the mark stepping up to one mile.

Lost nothing in defeat when denied a head over seven furlongs at Wolverhampton recently and may put his experience to good use from a nice draw in stall six.

Market support behind the well bred newcomer Sant Alessio would be of note and Blake might build on a promising debut fifth over course and distance last time.

China Trade showed decent form at Haydock and Doncaster earlier in the season and could get involved now stepping up in distance back from a break.

Race 9 – BOBBY KENNEDY 33/10

BOBBY KENNEDY was no match for a decent winner over course and distance and with Oisin Murphy retaining the ride holds solid claims racing off the same mark.

Delvey went down by a nose tackling this trip at Wolverhampton recently and could remain competitive off a 2lbs higher rating.

Crazy Maisie steps back up in distance and may go close having produced a sound effort when runner-up at Lingfield.

Bletchley Storm is generally consistent from around this mark and unexposed attempting middle distances.
