EXTER

Race 2 – POST NO BILLS 13/10

POST NO BILLS aims for consecutive victories after a success at Plumpton.

Switches back to hurdles and could be competitive with the benefit of experience.

Jeudidee has won twice from four outings. Broke through for a three length success in a novice hurdle at Worcester during August and warrants respect with further improvement to come.

Amalfi Bay and Go On Ya Goodthing can get into the places.

Race 3 – KAUTO THE KING 5/1

KAUTO THE KING can bounce back to form in the RGB Building Supplies Handicap Chase.

The nine-year-old was rated as high as 132 at his peak, but a largely disappointing run of form has seen that mark fall to his current perch of just 113.

A wind operation looked to have done the trick when he won narrowly off 114 at Newton Abbot on his penultimate start, but he then took a step backwards when only fifth of sixth at Worcester.

He is clearly not easy to predict, but Kauto The King is obviously well treated on the pick of his form and does have conditions in his favour.

Race 5 – PITSSBURG 15/2

PITSSBURG revisits hurdles following a good second in a novice handicap chase at Bangor. Previously finished runner-up attempting a similar event to this at Uttoxeter, so another bold bid is anticipated.

Ten Ten Twenty shaped even better than the bare result when a neck third in a handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter. Worth considering.

Pepsiwithacap and Vin Rouge should also be on the shortlist.

Race 7 – COOLNAUGH HAZE 3/1

Coolnaugh Haze drops considerably in standard following a fourth at Market Rasen.

Won at this grade prior and must be a leading chance returning to a suitable level.

Nibras Gold draws closer to a well deserved success after running second at Warwick and another bold bid anticipated.

Copshill Lad remains unexposed. Third in a competitive maiden hurdle at this track two starts ago and rates well on that form.

AYR

Race 2 – PEACE WALK 67/100

The Virgin Bet Novice Stakes represents a good opportunity for the Charlie Johnston-trained PEACE WALK to double his tally.

The son of Cracksman was unable to land a blow in the Convivial Maiden at York in August, but the very fact that he made his debut in such a valuable contest suggests he had been showing a fair level of ability at home.

Dropped in class and encountering softer ground at Beverley next time, Peace Walk fairly bolted up over seven and a half furlongs and a marginal rise in trip to a mile will not be an issue.

One of the newcomers will have to be pretty smart to stop him following up under a penalty.

Race 4 -RAMIRO 4/1

RAMIRO is backed to supplement a recent Chester success in the Virgin Bet Handicap.

A course and distance winner in July, Brian Ellison’s charge was subsequently placed in the Racing League at Yarmouth before struggling on his next three starts.

However, two of those runs were on the all-weather and he bounced right back to form on the Roodee late last month as he devoured the heavy ground on his way to a clear-cut victory.

With conditions forecast to be similarly testing in Scotland, Ramiro should go close again despite a 3lb rise in the weights.

Race 5 – AGNES GREY 7/1

AGNES GREY can gain due reward for her consistency in the Virgin Bet Daily Extra Places Handicap.

John Quinn’s filly has been placed five times without managing to get her head in front, most recently going down by just half a length to Lockdown Lass at Chester.

If she handles this more demanding terrain, another bold bid looks assured in first-time cheek pieces.

Race 7 – CLANSMAN 28/10

CLANSMAN won this contest last year. Can carry the penalty he picked up for winning over just over a mile here nine days ago to victory.

The obvious danger looks to be Jaminoz, who is bidding for a hat-trick following a commanding win on soft ground at Hamilton.

Kittykarma went close when second at Newcastle six days ago and needs respect racing off the same rating.

CHELMSFORD CITY

Race 1 – AL SHIBAB 9/4

AL SHIBAB  returns to a realistic level having finished downfield in a valuable sales race at Doncaster.

This Andrew Balding trained colt produced a sound effort tackling the trip at Leicester prior and can make a winning all-weather debut.

The experienced Pressure’s On drops back to novice company following a fair effort in a Salisbury (7f) handicap and must be respected on ratings alone.

Pinjarra and Pretence are also worth noting.

Race 3 – TURQUOISE DIAMOND 3/1

TURQUOISE DIAMOND appears well placed to complete her hat-trick.

Having hinted at ability earlier in the campaign, the daughter of Dubawi came good with an emphatic win at Brighton last month and did well to defy a 6lb hike on her all-weather debut at Newcastle.

She is up another 3lb ahead of her latest assignment, but creeps into the Illuminate Christmas Ball Handicap at the foot of the weights and a step up from seven furlongs to a mile may help elevate a game to another level.

Race 6 – BLUEBELLS BOY 15/10

Dropping back to six furlongs looks a huge positive for the Darryll Holland-trained BLUEBELLS BOY who travelled well before struggling when fifth over seven furlongs here three weeks ago.

He can record a second course and distance success by defying the widest draw in stall ten.

Narrow track and trip runner-up Arlecchino’s Gift holds obvious claims raised 2lbs.

Sumac could go well fresh under Tom Marquand, while three-time course winner Jumira Bridge looks an interesting each-way proposition.

Race 9 – SHALFA 11/2

SHALFA won with authority at Brighton last time out in September.

Though a slight concern being without a win after eight all-weather outings she does receive a nice draw in stall five and the daughter of Ribchester is taken to defy a 6lbs rise in weights.

Angel Of Peace scored over course and distance twelve days ago and commands respect despite securing stall thirteen.

Elshaameq cannot be left out of calculations following two solid efforts in this class tackling a mile and a quarter at Newcastle.

Swing To The Stars finished runner-up to Shalfa in the aforementioned Brighton handicap and holds each-way claims once more.
