FONTWELL PARK
Race 1 – SINURITA 9/4
SINURITA (3) brings the benefit of race fitness. Caught the eye when runner-up in a similar handicap hurdle at Bangor-on-Dee and draws closer to a well-deserved success.
EATON LADY (5) received a two-month break since a Worcester second. Racing well and could be interesting fresh. KENTFORD MALLARD (1) sits at the top of the handicap.
Not seen since a good second at Huntingdon during May. Comfortable at
this level. QUIET THUNDER (4) holds each way claims after a third at Bangor-on-Dee.
Race 3 – GRAIN OF HOPE 6/4
GRAIN OF HOPE (3) finished runner-up the past two outings. Narrowly denied by a nose on the flat before finishing a strong second in a juvenile hurdle over course and distance. Experience with these conditions is an advantage.
TWO PAST EIGHT (1) placed runner-up in two starts since a success. Switching between hurdles and the flat. Bold bid anticipated.
LIMELIGHT (4) improved turning to hurdles last start. Placed third at Stratford-on-Avon and could be in the mix. STEVEN SEAGULL (2) holds each way claims.
Race 3 – FAIRLAWN FLYER 13/8
FAIRLAWN FLYER (3) was going well prior to being pulled up at Southwell. Broke through for a 6L success at Cartmel against similar and seems to enjoy these extreme stamina tests. Top chance.
CHELTENAM DE VAIGE (2) worked toward a win recording a 16L success in a novice hurdle at Stratford-on-Avon. Interesting switching to fences.
ORGANDI (1) carries top weight. Racing in higher graded contests and of note dropping in class. MORATORIUM (4) is the outsider of this quartet.
Race 4 – WATERGRANGE JACK 5/4
WATERGRANGE JACK (1) bids for a hat-trick. Caught the eye scoring over a marginally longer distance at this track in latest. Top chance.
SHALLOW RIVER (2) finished runner-up the past two outings and deserves to break through for a success. Only beaten 0.5L against this standard of competition two starts back. Contender.
ELHAM VALLEY (3) returned after a three-month spell with a disappointing effort. May improve second-up. SERMANDO (5) switches back to hurdles receiving a fair handicap mark.
Race 5 – ZORAN 11/8
TOAD OF TOAD HALL (4) returned after a five-month spell with a disappointing effort at Market Rasen. Better anticipated.
ZORAN (1) followed up a novice handicap chase success at Worcester with a fair fourth tackling the same conditions among open company. Contender.
BENSINI (2) was a winner three starts back. Not disgraced finishing sixth in a fifteen runner Newton Abbot contest last time. Holds each-way claims. NO WORRIES (3) managed a good third at Worcester in latest. Place chance.
Race 6 – DANCE IN THE PARK 8/1
DANCE IN THE PARK (1) makes initial racecourse outing and is expected to be competitive with the assistance of an apprentice claim. Leading chance.
ZOE ALYSSA (4) finished fifth on the flat at Market Rasen last time and could improve for the run.
MY LOUISE (3) is a five-year-old debutante. Holds each way claims. HUBBLE TRUBBLE (2) received a lengthy break since a disappointing debut. Better anticipated.
YORK
Race 1 – ZIGGY’S CONDOR 7/4
ZIGGY’S CONDOR (1) was an eye-catching winner at Pontefract on debut. Followed up with a good second in a sales race over course and distance and can return to winning ways.
THE COFFEE POD (7) made the frame on both career starts. Only denied a head at Ripon when last seen and could be firmly in the mix.
PILGRIM (5) holds each way claims. Managed a good third at Thirsk two back before a fourth in the aforementioned track and trip sales contest. CLASSY BOY (4) is an each way contender based on a Doncaster third last time.
Race 2 – BAJAN BANDIT 5/1
BAJAN BANDIT (3) has won twice the past four outings including a success at this venue attempting a shorter distance. Third tackling track and trip subsequently and must be a leading chance.
FLORIDA (5) returned after a short spell with a good third at Kempton Park AW. Contender if improving for race fitness.
CATCH THE PADDY (2) bounced back to better order when runner-up over course and distance. Capable. TAJAWAL (4) was a winner three starts ago. Good third at Newcastle AW since. Holds each way claims.
Race 3 – YORKINDNESS 11/8
YORKINDNESS (1) was denied a hat-trick when a close 1.5L third tackling a stamina-sapping trip at Musselburgh last time. Finds a winnable opportunity and can return to best.
TENDENTIOUS (4) aims for a double following a 2L Redcar success. Steps up in distance and could improve for the test.
GIBSIDE (2) has been disappointing the past two runs. Better performances earlier in the campaign. Place chance. RED FORCE ONE (3) is the outsider of the quartet. More needed.
Race 4 – WATCH MY TRACER 9/2
WATCH MY TRACER (1) was unable to get involved in a valuable contest at the Newmarket July course last time. Can return to winning ways having secured a 3L victory at Windsor prior.
BATAL ZABEEL (4) aims for back-to-back wins following a 1L success at Beverley. Showed plenty of speed and may get involved.
MEDIA SHOOTER (6) broke through for a Wolverhampton AW success before a commendable sixth in a twenty-two runner sales race over course and distance last time. Place. TROPICAL ISLAND (3) holds each way claims.
Race 5 – EMARAATY ANA 7/4
EMARAATY ANA (5) is a former G1 winner. Returned after a short break with a second in the Listed Hopeful Stakes and can get involved based on that performance.
COMMANCHE FALLS (1) was bidding for a hat-trick when fourth in the G3 Phoenix Sprint Stakes at the Curragh. Winner of the G3 Hackwood Stakes at Newbury prior and must be respected.
AL SUHAIL (2) drops back in class following a sixth in the G2 York Stakes over 7f at this track. Will appreciate a sharper test. PERDIKA (8) holds each-way claims returning after a short spell.
Race 6 – MATHMATICIAN 10/3
MATHEMATICIAN (13) could prove competitive off a low weight. Tackles tougher competition following a 0.8L success at Newcastle AW. Bold bid anticipated.
ANJO BONITA (10) is another last start winner. Justified favouritism scoring by 1.3L at Hamilton Park over 1 ⅛m in latest. Apprentice claims further weight relief.
HIGHWAYGREY (8) was a useful third at Carlisle last time. Holds each way claims maintaining a consistent profile. FEEL THE NEED (6) rates an each way contender after a third at Redcar over 1m.
Race 7 – SQUEALER 4/1
SQUEALER (1) carries top weight. Seeks back-to-back wins following a 2.5L success at Doncaster over 5f. Makes for plenty of appeal.
PILLOW TALK (2) has been racing well including a competitive fourth tackling track and trip. Worth considering.
DREAM FOR GOLD (6) finished runner-up twice prior to a disappointing run at Ripon. Better anticipated.
MATCH PLAY (14) managed third at Redcar in latest. Holds each-way claims. PROFITABLE EDGE (16) rates a place contender from bottom of the weights.
