KEMPTON

Race 2 – EHTIRAM 9/4

EHTIRAM represents leading connections. This daughter of Ribchester profiles well on paper and is a likely player making her debut.

Shadan Joy indicated promise this year debuting with a good second at Lingfield on turf in May. Mixed efforts since but may feature.

King’s School showed promise first up at Newcastle last week when fourth contesting a one-mile novice race. Worth noting.

The Andrew Balding-trained Belcamo has Oisin Murphy booked and looks an interesting newcomer.

Race 6 – FRESH 7/2

There is a valuable prize up for grabs at Kempton’s all-weather evening meeting in the Unibet London Spirit Series (Final) Handicap and FRESH gets the nod.

James Fanshawe’s charge has been thereabouts in some big races on turf this term, including when a close fifth of 27 in the Wokingham at Royal Ascot, and is a proven performer on this surface.

Race 7 – DIVINE COMEDY 3/1

DIVINE COMEDY has maintained consistent form this year including a one-length success in a lower-class handicap at Nottingham on soft ground last month. Is up in trip again and rates a leading player.

Sleeping Lion showed plenty of ability at Salisbury when a good second in a conditions event and this three-time course winner is worth including.

Rainbow Dreamer won the All-Weather Marathon Final at Newcastle AW in April and should also be on the shortlist.

Race 9 – THE COLA KID 7/2

THE COLA KID found success by a nose in a seven-furlong handicap at this venue attempting this level last week and has a strong chance of following up.

Purple Poppy ran well here when a solid third among this company over seven furlongs and should be included on your shortlist.

Agapanther won a course and distance handicap in good fashion six starts ago during April, while Bluebells Boy also holds claims following a smart second at Chelmsford City two outings back.

CHEPSTOW

Race 2 – TAHMURAS 8/13

TAHMURAS makes his eagerly-anticipated debut over fences for Paul Nicholls in the Go Racing With Vickers.bet Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase.

The six-year-old claimed Grade One glory in the Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle at Sandown last term, when the reopposing Colonel Harry was well held in fourth.

Tahmuras found the pace too hot in the Supreme at Cheltenham and and at Aintree but remains a horse with plenty of potential and he has always looked likely to flourish over bigger obstacles.

Race 3 – JACKPOT D’ATHOU 15/8

JACKPOT D’ATHOU represents notable connections and showed plenty of promise in two jumpers flat races last season.
Likely to be well supported and rates a leading contender.

Anytrixwilldo produced a fair fifth on debut in a course and distance novices hurdle during February and is expected to improve
Flying Fortune ran well last month at Newton Abbot when second on heavy going over and shouldn’t be discounted.

Race 4 – HEROS DE ROMAY 13/8

HEROS DE ROMAY maintains a promising profile with a debut success at Exeter preceding a runner-up effort at Hereford in March. Now hurdling and rates a leading player.

Captain Wallace showed promise in Irish point-to-points earlier this year. Profiles well on rules debut.

Nicholls-trained Hurricane Danny managed a fair fifth attempting a two-mile jumpers flat race here during February and holds claims.

Race 7 – JACOBIN 7/4

There are several interesting types in the Chepstow Open National Hunt Flat Race, but none more so than the JP McManus-owned French import JACOBIN for Nicholls, who is certainly bred for the job. Stablemate Mount Gay Run is also worth some thought.

I See The Sea showed promise attempting a point-to-point during May and rates an interesting newcomer, while Catch Him Derry cannot be discounted.
