BATH

Race 2 No1 HOORNBLOWER (Nap)
Trainer: Denis Coakley – Jockey: Harry Davies

This is very much the last chance saloon for HOORNBLOWER who went out like a light on his latest start at this course. The Ulysses gelding is almost a stone clear of his foes on the ratings, and only has to run close to that to open his account.

Race 6 No3 MOUSH (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: George Bass

It’s a similar call with MOUSH who doesn’t appear to relish a struggle and has had a few chances. That said, there’s no denying his ability and the presence of ‘quiet’ jockey Bass on him for the first time could held make the difference.

PONTEFRACT

Race 3 No5 POINT GIVEN (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: Ryan Moore

POINT GIVEN is related to Group 1-winning juvenile Toormore and brings strong claims to the table courtesy of a pleasing first offering when claiming a minor cheque at Doncaster. The son of Blue Point will be more streetwise, and should open his account.

Race 7 No6 EMPEROR CARADOC (Each Way)
Trainer: Paul Midgley – Jockey: Graham Lee

EMPEROR CARADOC looked like a horse running into form when third on his first run for this stable at Doncaster. He benefitted from a return to a sprint distance, and from a plum draw should get into the shake-up.

BRIGHTON

Race 2 No4 PHOENIX GLOW (Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Rose Dawes

As long as the ground rides on the quick side PHOENIX GLOW can prove way better than her forecast price as the roughie in this bottom division handicap. Her chance is assisted by the presence of Dawes in the saddle for the first time.

Race 3 No2 JUNOESQUE (Each Way)
Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: Darragh Keenan

Track specialist JUNOESQUE is seeking a ninth success here, and can go well if enjoying an easy lead in a class drop. She’s underwhelmed three times since an encouraging first run back, but is worth chancing.

Race 5 No3 DE VEGAS KID (Each Way)
Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: Jason Watson

DE VEGAS KID has struggled to regain the solid form he showed here last spring and summer, and following a sequence of disappointing efforts needs to capitalise on a drop in the ratings. Interestingly Watson was in the saddle for the gelding’s latest success here 15 months ago, and is unbeaten on him.

YARMOUTH

Race 1 No2 DEREHAM
Trainer: John Berry – Jockey: Mr R Birkett

DEREHAM has winning form here and showed with a Newmarket success in June that he’s in a good place. Having improved from race to race in his three outings this year and with a good amateur on board he can add to his laurels.

Race 2 No1 DUBAI TREASURE (Nap)
Trainer: Saeed Bin Suroor – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

DUBAI TREASURE was up against a more experienced rival when finishing second on her Newmarket introduction and should know more of what’s required in a race in which she’s very much the go-to filly. With that form having been franked by the winner she’s sure to command confidence in the market, and is the one to beat.

Race 4 No8 SEND IN THE CLOUDS (Each Way)
Trainer: Tony Carroll- Jockey: William Carson

Carroll has a few chances on that day but possibly none better than SEND IN THE CLOUDS who impresses as a horse that’s ready to win. Interestingly this is just a fourth run on grass from his last 16 outings and he’s moving up to try the mile and a half distance for the first time.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 1 No5 MEASURED TIME (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: William Buick

MEASURED TIME had a planned race last week kiboshed by unsuitable ground and he now switches to defend his unbeaten record with a return to Polytrack. The son of Frankel looked a decent type when scoring on his course and distance introduction, has learned from that and should follow-up.

Place Accumulator Perm (Races 1-7)

5, 3 x 2, 9, 8 x 4 x 4, 2 x 7 x 3, 2 x 5, 1
