LEICESTER

Race 2 No6 MY DESERT QUEEN (Each Way)
Trainer: Kevin Ryan – Jockey: Tom Marquand

Ryan has a good record with fillies owned by Jaber Abdullah and MY DESERT QUEEN could turn out to be another good earner for them. She’s shaped well in her work ahead of this first visit for the track, and should be monitored for a positive market move. Godolphin’s brace of newcomers ELEGANT FRIEND and SOFT WINDS are both bred to be smart, and also need a betting check.

Race 4 No11 SPEEDING BULLET (Nap)
Trainer: Richard Hannon – Jockey: William Buick

Inns of Court colt SPEEDING BULLET lost out in a tight finish at Ffos Las which represented a step up on his first run for Hannon. He will have top assistance from the saddle from the champion jockey, and can open his account at the main expense of Cool Dividend.

Race 5 No3 WATERLOO SUNSET (Each Way)
Trainer: Denis Coakley – Jockey: George Bass

Bass gets on well with WATERLOO SUNSET for whom a success would not be out of turn. The five-year-old has posted a couple of near-misses on Polytrack at Lingfield but has the wherewithal to make this a first career triumph on grass.

WORCESTER

Race 5 No4 NICKELSONTHEDIME
Trainer: Kayley Woollacott – Jockey: Ben Godfrey

NICKELSONTHEDIME goes to post with an impressive record of two wins and as many seconds over hurdles this summer. He faces stern opposition from Karavomylos who with similar figures is a pea out of the same pod, but can upstage that rival under a conditional rider who is good value for his claim.

Race 6 No5 EMANATE (Nap)
Trainer: Neil Mulholland – Jockey: Thomosina Eyston

EMANATE came out of the wilderness to score at 100-1 at this course in July. The five-year-old needs to show it was no fluke but his trainer appears to have found a good opportunity for him. As the least experienced horse in the field he has room for progression.

CATTERICK BRIDGE

Race 3 No4 O G BEACHWEAR
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: Jason Hart

In what looks a straight match with Della, O G BEACHWEAR should have the upper hand. The daughter of Washington DC has earned on all four starts and though becoming expensive to follow should put the record straight.

Race 4 No6 LANGHOLM (Nap)
Trainer: Michael Dods – Jockey: Connor Beasley

LANGHOLM is perfectly drawn to notch an overdue first success of the campaign in this sprint round a left-handed bend. He makes a fifth successive visit to this track with every chance of getting rewarded for a sequence of near-misses for his top local stable.

Race 5 No5 JAMIL (Each Way)
Trainer: Miss T Jackson – Jockey: Mark Winn

JAMIL is another regular visitor to this course who can claim a decent cheque. A dual scorer under Winn in May and July, he troubled the judge in an amateur riders’ contest last time, and should again be in the shake-up with Propagation one that could cause him problems.

KELSO

Race 2 No1 CAITHNESS
Trainer: Lucinda Russell – Jockey: Derek Fox

CAITHNESS made the frame in all three starts in the early part of the year which makes him the form choice in this maiden hurdle. He’s ready to go following a long break, and can repel the challenge of Irish challenger The Mass Path.

Race 3 No1 PULL AGAIN GREEN (Nap)
Trainer: Fergal O’Brien – Jockey: Liam Harrison

PULL AGAIN GREEN should hold the whip hand in a race that is sure to be tactical. He was an authoritative scorer at Bangor last month, looking happier over fences than he was over hurdles, and can add to his trainer’s good record with his summer jump runners here.

Race 5 No6 JUMPING SUSIE
Trainer: John McConnell – Jockey: Mr A Harvey

McConnell must always be respected with his runners in the UK. His JUMPING SUSIE underwhelmed at Cartmel last time but her previous efforts out of handicap company in Ireland would make her hard to beat if repeated.
