BRIGHTON

Race 2 No1 WILLY CAMPBELL ( Nap)
Trainer: Sylvester Kirk – Jockey: Shane Kelly

Named after a popular and much lamented character from his owner’s Wantage base, WILLY CAMPBELL can take out this restricted maiden. The son of James Garfield has improved from race to race and after a close up third at Kempton should enjoy returning to grass.

Race 6 No1 STYLE OF LIFE
Trainer: Jamie Osborne – Jockey: Saffie Osborne

STYLE OF LIFE did us a good turn when opening her account as a 12-1 shot at Wolverhampton. The assessor has taken action, but having been ridden by women in all four starts the New Bay filly can remain unbeaten in handicaps, with Saffie Osborne back in the hot seat.

LEICESTER

Race 1 No6 HORSE WHISPERER (Each Way)
Trainer: Chris Dwyer – Jockey: Stefano Cherchi

Invincible Spirit filly HORSE WHISPERER is drawn close to BIG BROWN BEAR in a race the pair can each go away with a cheque. The selection goes well for her apprentice pilot, who won on her at Brighton before running into handicap snip Looby at the same track last time.

Race 2 No3 ARIZONA DESERT (Nap)
Trainer: Dominic Ffrench Davis – Jockey: Hollie Doyle

ARIZONA DESERT has earned in all but one of her three starts in the silks of Amo Racing. She was having a first run for Ffrench Davis when beaten in a blanket finish at Newcastle, and has benefitted from that first outing in almost two months.

Race 6 No1 BOX TO BOX (Each Way)
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: Conor Planas

In a cracking betting heat, top weight BOX TO BOX could be the way to go. The dual Chester scorer has hardly put a foot wrong this season, his only blip happening in a fiercely competitive race at York from which the winner (Astro King) went on to lift the Cambridgeshire. His form stacks up closely with that of INTRICACY who also needs inclusion in trifectas and quartets, along with FORCEFUL SPEED.

Race 8 No7 SEATTLE TIME
Trainer: Sylvester Kirk – Jockey: Liam Keniry

In what could turn out to be a good day for his trainer, SEATTLE TIME can open his account. He’s the least exposed in the field and on this fifth career outing can back up a solid run in defeat at Yarmouth, which represented a step up on previous efforts.

HUNTINGDON

Race 1 No5 MR MACKAY (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

MR MACKAY attracted each way support which was rewarded when he finished third on his reappearance at Worcester. He looked to be travelling well until a mistake at the penultimate flight knocked the wind out of his sails. From a stable amongst the winners, he can make this a first success under Rules.

Race 3 No6 LUCKY’S DREAM (Each Way)
Trainer: Ben Brookhouse – Jockey: Jack Quinlan

Brookhouse is another firing in early winners and there’s much to like about his LUCKY’S DREAM, who is unexposed as a jumper. He’s fit from a largely profitable campaign on the Flat, and needs respecting on a first run over hurdles for almost three years.

SOUTHWELL

Race 3 No6 SPINTO SOPRANO
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

SPINTO SOPRANO put in a pleasing first effort when just out of the money at Salisbury. That visit to her local track appears to have done her the world of good, and gives her an experience edge over Stars Away in a contest where she should take care of business.

Race 5 No4 CLUB MANAGER (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: William Carver

CLUB MANAGER is a bet I’m looking forward to in this stayers’ handicap. He seemed to score doing handstands when running over two miles for the first time at Nottingham last week, and though saddled with a 6lb penalty is the type of horse his trainer has excelled with in the closing weeks of previous seasons.

Race 8 No2 STARSTRIKER
Trainer: James Ferguson – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

Rodborough is a filly in the form of her life but preference is for the handicap rookie STARSTRIKER. The hooded selection began life in Kentucky, but after a couple of starts for Wesley Ward he’s tried his luck in Newmarket from where he’s run well in both outings. He has greater potential for improvement than his foes.

Place Accumulator Perm (Races 2-8)

2, 7 x 6 x 9, 10, 2 x 4 x 9, 1, 5 x 7, 10, 2 x 2, 4
