LEICESTER

Race 5 No9 THEATRE HONOURS (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: James Doyle

THEATRE HONOURS finished second in a Newmarket novice last month and is consequently the go-to horse in this mile maiden for owners Godolphin. The gelded son of Kingman should have most to fear from Ziryab, though support for To Catch A Thief could also prove significant.

Race 6 No5 BRAVE KNIGHT
TrainerM Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Luke Morris

BRAVE KNIGHT displayed battling qualities when opening his account at Windsor on his first handicap outing and first on grass. The son of Derby winner Sir Percy stays this mile and a half and can with another win consolidate racing from his revised mark.

Race 7 No5 FERENSBY (Each Way)
Trainer: Richard Hannon – Jockey: Dane O’Neill

FERENSBY ran better than her finishing position indicates at Haydock when unconsidered in the betting but being beaten under five lengths by the winner Radio Goo Goo. The daughter of Zoustar could prove a surprise packet in this weakly contested handicap and should earn.

SOUTHWELL

Race 3 No6 DARTING ROSE (Nap)
Trainer: Pam Sly – Jockey: Paul O’Brien

Dartmouth filly DARTING ROSE picked up a minor cheque on debut here, and that may have given her an edge on well-connected newcomer Aston Martini in this mares’ bumper.

Race 5 No1 DASHER RILEY
Trainer: Laura Morgan – Jockey: Harry Cobden

Like many horses that move to the Morgan stable, DASHER RILEY did the business on its first run, scoring gamely at Worcester though not touched in the betting. On its first outing away from that course and with Cobden retaining the mount, the six-year-old can follow up.

WETHERBY

Race 5 No2 BLUE YONDER (Nap)
Trainer: Richard Fahey – Jockey: Oisin Orr

Such was the ease of BLUE YONDER’s recent triumph at Wolverhampton that he has a great chance of completing a hat-trick in a race where only 3lbs separates top and bottom weights.

Race 7 No4 THANK THE LORD (Each Way)
Trainer: Simon Hodgson – Jockey: Theodore Ladd

THANK THE LORD made improvement to trouble the judge at Bath on a first run on turf for nine months. He will come on for that and should now be spot on.

LINGFIELD PARK

Race 2 No6 PACKARD (Nap)
Trainer: Richard Hannon – Jockey: Kevin Stott

PACKARD attracted plenty of support only to run into the useful Barnwell Boy on debut at Goodwood. The winner is Royal Ascot bound, and Packard can book his own ticket for that meeting by going one better in the colours of Amo Racing.

Race 4 No4 LULWORTH COVE
Trainer: Richard Hannon – Jockey: Sean Levey

LULWORTH COVE is an attractive betting proposition if anywhere near her forecast price. The New Bay filly chased home a bang-in-form rival in Radio Goo Goo at Haydock and if progressing from that can give favourite Dark Kestrel plenty to think about.

Race 7 No7 WATERLOO SUNSET (Each Way)
Trainer: Denis Coakley – Jockey: George Bass

WATERLOO SUNSET underwhelmed at Windsor when backed into favourite before recovering his poise to trouble the judge at Bath. The five-year-old steps up to a mile and a half under an apprentice that knows and gets on with him well.
