HEXHAM

Race 6 No5 CHARLIE’S NUMBERS (Nap)
Trainer: George Scott – Jockey: Brian Hughes

CHARLIE’S NUMBERS is an unusual runner hailing from a Newmarket stable that is almost completely flat orientated. The gelded son of Frankel cost 130,000 guineas as a yearling and is out of a Sea The Stars mare. If possessing a modicum of ability he should take care of the more experienced Clovis Island.

HUNTINGDON

Race 2 No1 GREYVAL (Nap)
Trainer: Fergal O’Brien – Jockey: Paddy Brennan

GREYVAL took out a Listed race at Doncaster in a second visit to the Town Moor. She has the points on the board, and though conceding 7lb all around, should be up to the task in hand as the best bet on the card.

Race 3 No4 MASTER MALCOLM
Trainer: Miss Emma-Jane Baker – Jockey: James Best

MASTER MALCOLM represents a race that has worked out wonderfully well and should give a good account with nothing as good as Concetto against him this time. He reacted positively to first-time blinkers which are retained and has his favoured conditions at a track that lends itself to his style of racing.

Race 6 No4 HARRY’S HOTTIE (Each Way)
Trainer: Harry Whittington – Jockey: Daryl Jacob

HARRY’S HOTTIE has been well beaten in a couple of runs on testing ground, but the mare should be far happier on this drying terrain and can bounce back to outpoint Hillfinch. Her stable needs a change of luck which she can provide.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 4 No6 WOOLHAMPTON (Nap)
Trainer: Rod Millman – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

Murphy is an eye-taking booking for WOOLHAMPTON whose trainer has a couple of chances on the day. The Camacho filly returns from a lengthy absence but would be a near certainty if able to repeat her excellent efforts to frame in the Super Sprint and a Listed race, both over the minimum trip at Newbury.

Race 7 No4 BILLIAN
Trainer: Phil Kirby – Jockey: Kevin Stott

BILLIAN takes a step down the class ladder and can bring to an end a frustrating sequence of near-misses. The five-year-old has a superb draw that should assist her in gaining a first success since August 2020. Embla is the stumbling block, and a saver is recommended on that rival in a race the pair could dominate.

Race 8 No6 GLORIOUS CHARMER
Trainer: Michael Herrington – Jockey: Aidan Keeley

With figures of 22311213 GLORIOUS CHARMER has been a wonderful servant to his connections. His achievements have happened exclusively at Dunstall Park, and from what looks the perfect draw he’s in a good place to add to his
laurels, with Amazing Amaya the one that could cause him problems.
